Alex is an incredible Champion/Athlete & the perfect ambassador for not only the Illawarra & the city of Wollongong, but the whole Australia & the sport of MMA. It’s honestly criminal that an athlete of Alex’s calibre, with his high level of achievement hasn’t been given any of the attention & recognition he clearly deserves by our countries leaders & news/media organisations. It's not unbelievable I have been 140lbs up to near 200lbs depending on the level of sustanon I take. I am now on nebido TRT and somewhere in the middle

@@C0d0ps I am a short guy and even on TRT I can't get to 200lbs and still be fit enough to play rugby I can do just weights. This sport is getting silly Needle marks in the other guys arm and fact they knew Belfort was up to stuff and they left Overeem and Lesnar fight each other? Now they eyepoke? I am going back to natural sports like strongman and boxing

@@Nonegiven14582 Yeah, I don’t get it either. I’m only 5’8, I would be way to big at 200 lbs. I’m currently 150 lbs, and feeling very good, with my stamina in mma.

It's crazy how Volk is only getting exposure and media attention now he's fighting for the champ champ in Australia I feel he's very underrated fighter.

Funny isn't it when you get into MMA finally you might have seen bits of it before then you see one fight and your hooked and you usually remember your first mine was rampage vs shogun pride never die

If I gained a pound everytime someone brought up how much volkanovsky weighed in his rugby league days, I would weigh almost as much as volkanovsky did in his rugby league days.

His movement in the third fight against Max was so fast and accurate, mind blowing, he is a juggernaut

@The MMA Club as some who has played both. They are definitely different. One is way more physically demanding than the other. One has better ball skills than the other and one makes you make way harder decisions as your insanely fatigued while a 120kg dude is trying to drive you into the dirt. The other one will take 5 minutes to pack a scrum. Completely different codes and to say they are the same shows how little you know about either sport. About the only thing you got right is that the names are similar, but so is nfl and NHL but yes they are different

i love him but it will not be enoug. Makhachev started training for this the moment his mother have birth to him! Machachev will just wrestle the fuck out of him.

they should make a new rule where there is no wrestling allowed in the first round of ufc fights, then we would really see who the best fighter in the world is

No it wouldn’t 😂 wrestlers would just coast the 1st round and survive and strikers would just be chasing and tryna get a finish. The fact that fights in the ufc start on your feet should be enough for a striker. If they didn’t work on their take down defence or ground game, that’s on them.

wrestling is dumb, boring, uninteresting, thats why nobody watches wrestling on TV. So to weasel your way into a sport that people actually DO watch just to wrestle is pathetic and weasely. Thats why people boo fights when they go to the ground. And wrestling is not practical in real fights or war either because someone nearby will just stomp on your skull. Its a lifeskill that only benefits one very specific scenario which is 1 on 1 competiton. And you need to throw away your whole life and just focus on squeezing men in order to be good at it. Its stupid on so many levels. Anybody can wrestle even a 1 day old newborn baby will wrestle an attacker if its being attacked. Its a lv1 skill.

Volk lost both the first 2 fights to Max they were close but Max was better both nights. 3rd fight Volk pitched a shut out and definitely beat him but he got gifted a couple first and im a huge Volk fan. I think Volk can beat Islam but its gonna be a tough fight.

I don't know if he got robbed, the decision was fair, but he left his weight class to fight in Islam's, and it was so much closer than everyone predicted. Who wouldn't want to watch a rematch?
