In the 90’s growing up in Corpus Christi Texas I heard Selena’s music everywhere and I knew she was a big deal. So much so that as a child the house phone rang and my mom told me to answer it. When I did there’s was a girl on the line asking to speak with my mother. When o told my mom she told me to ask who it was. So I did, and she said her name was Selena. And I responded... “NAH UHHHHH”. Not knowing that there was any other Selena in the world. Lol. Turns out it was a cousin of mine who shared the same name. RIP Selena. Forever beautiful and a special part of my childhood.

We love love love your reaction to this performance and a little side note that not a lot of people know hardly anybody knows about this particular performance. Well Selena had literally just gotten over laryngitis and was barely beginning to sound like herself after a week of recovery this was her first performance and you can hear certain parts where she does lose it but regains its like a pro vocally.

I agree with you. Another way to translate: “No me queda mas”=“I have no choice” The use of the verb “quedar” is confusing because it does have have a direct translation.

How I wish she was still here. I think of how much further she would have gone. She was amazing in so many ways.

I can't watch the Netflix docuseries of Selena. It makes me too sad. When I last watched her movie, it took me a month to shake off the feeling of sadness. And even now when I see her music videos they leave me with a heavy heart. She left a big void in the world when she was taken from us.

She was such an amazing and beautiful lady. I listen to her almost everyday. I am from Maine so discovered her when her movie came out and absolutely love her ..............

Selena was beautiful, pretty, gorgeous, elegant, and a kind soul. She sings beautifully you are mesmerized each time. It is a pity she died so young, only 23! We wont ever let go. Her memory is forever. Be rested, dearest!❤️❤️❤️
