For Ann, she definitely set the bar for female rock singers and then locked it away where nobody else can touch it. She’s one of the greats period, but in the female category she is all on her own. IMO 🤙🏻

When Ann and Nancy sing together, it's magic. Being sisters, their voices blend so well.
Ann Wilson is one of the greatest Rock voices, either male or female. Nancy is one of the most talented acoustic guitarists in Rock. With both sisters, we can throw gender out of the equation here. So talented! Liked seeing your appreciation - Subscribed.

Ann and Nancy are quite simply 2 of the greatest singer, songwriter, musicians, & live performers to ever live, period.
I saw Heart when they opened for Queen in Scotland (1982) and I was knocked for six by her beautiful, powerful voice. There’s no one to beat her.
Magic Man. Love Alive....so many. Ann was respected from the git go. Who can argue that voice? Ann was considered the female Robert Plant. But with her talented sister Nancy, they wrote and performed (with their stellar back up band and mates ) some delicious tunes. Great reaction! You remember.
Never understood why a band like the Rolling Stones were worshipped that much, when live Heart had so much better musicians and the singer is just in another realm. They have always been underrated.

I love Heart but let's not get carried away by dissing the Stones. Mick is one of the best rock singers ever, live or recorded, and puts on a great show. I do actually like Ann better, but Stones have SOOO many more great songs that you just can't ignore that.

@@mikem2778 Mick is a great performer, but as a singer he is OK at best technically speaking. I also have an acquaintance that saw tons of big shows in my neck of the woods, as his father owned the biggest promotion company and he said that the Stones were not anywhere near the top of his list and bands like Pink Floyd & Iron Maiden were much better live than the Stones and with the number of shows he saw, he knows what he is talking about.

Heart is an incredible band. Period. The Rolling Stones are an incredible band as well. Both have had almost unprecedented Longevity and have gone through very distinct stages in their careers. It's great to see Ann (and Nancy) getting belated credit for their artistry. That album, "Dreamboat Annie", was one of the great rock albums of all time. Magic Man, Crazy on You, White Lightning and Wine, I'll Be Your Song, Soul of the Sea, How Deep it Goes ... every shade of emotion, great lyrics, stunning performances. Full disclosure: I was 13 when it was released :-).
The most amazing women in rock history period.
The Wilson sisters are an amazing talent and iconic. Ann has an amazing voice and Nancy is just an amazing guitar player. Together they make an amazing duo/group whatever you want to call them. They are just totally awesome. Btw I'm 60 years of age and still love them.
As a milennial who is into rock and metal, let me tell you, Ann Wilson's and the whole of Heart's greatness is obvious even if you don't know the first thing about singing. Thank God for Spotify recommendations or I might have never found them.
I can't believe you lost subscribers over this reaction. I'm 22 and heart is my favourite female group across all genres. The lyrics, composition, guitar work, groove is genious and inovative!

I’ve always been all about Nancy. She was always so amazing in their live performances. Her guitar skills are unbelievable and I love her vocals weather she sings lead or supporting her amazing sister. Every time I saw them, I could never take my eyes off of Nancy. ♥️✌🏼😎

One of the few bands where the 'rhythm' guitar was placed center stage and 'lead' placed downstage or off center due to Nancy's super intricate approach to guitar voicings. But it was critical to the overall sound of the two sisters ( their 2 voices over 1 guitar). So Nancy's orchestration of her guitar fingerings lead to the overall atmosphere of the piece in a very powerful way and Ann was able to push the melodic phrasing way above that. Simply amazing - and we're not even discussing their song crafting artistry, just performance. Always admired Ann's ability to vocally sway into a phrase with so much taste and control. Also, not many bands come to mind where the lead vocal is singing harmony to the guitar melodic passages on a vowel. I think Steve Perry from Journey did that on a couple of songs during live performances as well.

One of my favs from Heart that is a "Diamond in the Rough" is "Say Hello" which really shows off Ann's vocal range.
Special award for Nancy spicing up every song with her vocals. Alone would be nothing without that harmony in the chorus.

When the sisters were younger Nancy sang, and Ann played the guitar 🎸 ,but after awhile they switched. Both of them are very good at both, and they can play the drums and the tambourines. It sad to me that they don't give Nancy any credit for her sing abilities. Much love 💘to you and your family.
Nancy Wilson was a boss on the guitar!
I've been listening to this song since it first came on the radio and I still get chills when Ann starts cutting loose. From the whisper gentle quiet beginning to that banshee howl when she wants to go crazy on you. Her voice goes right thru me in the best way.

I saw them back in 1977 during their "Little Queen" tour. It was at Convention Hall on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ just across Ocean Avenue from the legendary Stone Pony. It's a small 1,500-2,000 seat venue and i had probably the best seats in the house, front row, center balcony. The date was August 16th the day Elvis died, they dedicated Zeppelin's "Rock n Roll" to the King to end the show. Oh Rick Derringer opened the show, did 6 or 7 songs and was out of there. Pretty sure everyone was there to see Heart.
I hear ya about Ann. The absolute truth, but Nancy’s ability to play rhythm at such a fast pace and never lose the rhythm of the song is unbelievable. Rolling Stone had her placed at 2nd best female guitarist of all time . Lita Ford being #1. Don’t know if she still holds that spot, but just holding it for a short time is worth the shout out!
