@@VocalSplendorStudios The best part of you tube is it takes us around the world to hear fantastic music we would never get and opportunity to hear in our lifetimes. Very haunting and soulful song. Here is a link to Amira's performance of La Virgine Degli Angeli. Love to hear your analysis of it. The screen on my fun is too small to read the text. Is it a translation of the lyrics? Googled them but the translation was just awful. The song was just beautiful.

Music,singing and dancing is not the salvation of the soul. Allah is our source of help. Sufism practices things that is far from Islam.

Such a masterpiece, I was unknown to Pakistani Music before. I’m so glad I was honored to listen to this powerful soulful song (thanks to subtitles)

Just for context, if it helps you understand the performance better .. Abida Parveen is a highly revered musician from the classical Sufi tradition of music. Her work is highly respected and religious in nature. Naseebo Lal used to do pop music for what you would think of as B movies. Until recently, she is seen as a has-been, and someone who wasn't an authentic and credible performer, because in her youth she would do 'risque', bordering on explicit, music. So she is not considered to be in the same realm as Abida. Over time, Naseebo's influence and trailblazing for women's right to express themselves in public spaces has become more appreciated. So this performance is a true blend of those two archetypes - the Madonna and the Whore, almost. Both beautiful, ridiculously talented women, who know who they are, are unapologetic, and are full of nothing but the deepest respect and admiration for the other's craft. Hope that context helps!

Even though i am Pakistani, most of the song i did not understand because Punjabi is not a language i understand. However, i got the sentiment too. It goes beyond words, it's a feeling. They're so powerful!!!

Hello Madam season 15 of Coke studio Pakistan had started and 2 awesome songs already released. We are waiting for your reaction impatiently ❤❤❤

Always love your reactions specially ones on Coke Studio cz how you feel those songs and vibe with them as you understand the science and msg behind them (the subtitles are a great addition to these videos hope you read them to get the full essence) and Abida Parveen the Queen of Sufi Music made sure you feel it. Coke Studio and a major part of Pakistani music is focuses on spirituality so it is right in the alley of what you were talking about and I agree with your beautiful msg. Do react to more Coke Studio including old seasons. I would recommend you to react to a song I recently heard again called "Yaar Vekho" by Sanam Marvi from Season 6 Coke Studio. All Coke Studio songs are recorded live in one take (Dance sequence was probably filmed separately) and all S13-S14 songs were original (some old seasons have old classical songs reimagined). P.S: If you wanna more about Coke Studio concept and how it started you should listen to Rohail Hayat (original creator and producer and he left after S06 and only came back for S13) interview he gave at Harvard (In English) where he told how he imagined and came to bring it to life a show which is now adopted all over the world in multiple countries but still the original one is true to its creators image.

So, Abida Parveen (The lady with the deep voice) is mainly a sufi singer.. I'm not sure how much you know abt Sufism.. But I would definitely suggest to maybe delve into it a bit.. It helps..other songs sung by Abida Parveen are just breath taking as well! Naseeb o Lal is mainly a Punjabi folklore singer... And her voice does magic when she is singing!
