So Hyang is the best I have heard in my 58 years. She is like Whitney, Celine, and Mariah all rolled into one, with a tad better technique.

Love em both! SoHyang is a master vocalist and has been singing for almost as long as Ariana has been alive so I would expect her to be more polished and controlled in her technique. She is truly one of the best in the world. You can also watch her older videos and see how she has progressed over the years. Ariana is so talented has many years ahead of her to grow and perfect her craft. Looking forward to watching her for a long time to come. Great reaction and assessment!

BUZZ LIGHTYEAR for a lot of people she isn’t the best one ..... for me her voice just sounds ugly :/

This lady could sing her weekly shopping list and I would have goosebumps she is simply awesome. Thank you So Hyang my ears have been blessed.

SoHyang is not human She is not an ordinary singer. She expresses the song lyrics in her voice and impresses the listener. I think she is one of the best singers in the world.

So Hyang is definitely the technically superior vocalist. Better support and resonance among many other skills, but she’s also much older and has taken many years to perfect her voice. Thus, I would say most of her covers were better, as well as more artistically original and unique. Sohyang makes every song her own while Ariana tends to stick to the original arrangement. Ariana is still very talented though and probably had a better Emotions cover due to her more reliable access to the whistle register.

whistle register is a novelty no true vocalist will use it often, it can damage the vocal chorrds

Please analyze performance Diana Ankudinova - Wicked Game. You never heard such a voice like she have. She is only 15 y.o.

im fan of both great singers but its a bit stuffs that cause misconceptions of two its not enough to explain two singers in one clip especially sohyang(considering Arian is known worldwide)

They picked the worst versions of their performances for these songs to compare.

Sohyang is just a beast. Unfair to compare her to 99.9% of singers. Only a handful of singers are on the same level of greatness as Sohyang.

I see you deleted your comment on my thread but I can still read it. I was just talking about who is a 'better singer' in terms of techniques, something that it seems like you really really like to talk about. I am sorry to break your bubble but in terms of breath support and overall 'techniques' Sohyang does not come close to Jo Sumi. You must not know Jo Sumi's reputations as an opera singer. She's a living legend. Comparing her to Sohyang is like comparing Pavarotti to David Phelps. In reality, pop singers does not come close to a good technique comparing to opera singers in terms of support. They all scream. The only competitors of the modern opera singer are the old opera singer in the gold period.

I am having SoHyang’s withdrawal syndrome 😢so I will comment ... as for this one Dr Mark, I would humbly point out diction... an unfair comparison since you would think Grande would beat Sohyang in a Hands-down-no-contest manner yet I find Sohyan’s pronunciation and enunciation to be better. Oh man! If that’s what I communicated that’s not what I think. I think they are so different that saying one is better than the other is impossible. My personal preference is to listen to SoHyang. Again - not better or worse just more to my taste. Hopefully I will get another Sohyang video up soon. I’m slowing down the quantity of my videos because I want to improve the quality and because other projects are demanding more of my attention. Thank you for watching and for commenting!

Mark CC true! But I feel her voice sounds relatively the same. Her technique has been spot on for years and she is definitely only improving as well. And I love her sound! Don’t hear me wrong. A straight up angels voice. But I prefer the tone of Ariana(mainly for her ear for phrasing and artistry) and she has improved immensely in my opinion now. If their phrasing was reversed, I would prefer So Hyang. Both amazing for different genres and truly top level vocalists
