HER is a fantastic artist because she's also a fantastic student. She clearly studies who she works with. 💜

I thank god for your talent and knowledge. If you could, please find the time in your schedule to analyze Jazmine Sullivan live on Jimmy Kimmel singing “girl like me”. Thank you in advance!! Either way. Bless you brother!
Jazmine has an incredible understanding of how to use her body to create a multitude of sounds. It's amazing to watch and hear.

Yes! It's scary how she was singing without moving her face I was like she's singing. 😮 I absolutely love that I was able to see her in person and she shows how much control and talent she is. She made it all look so effortless.

so true!!! after i saw that clip of her in the wiz when she was younger i was like "oh she was born this way and still keeps getting better"
You hit the nail on the head! They did not oversing or overpower each other like so often happens in a duet. I absolutely loved this set.

Like Faith E, Whitney H, Coco, Lil Mo’, etc: Jazmine’s runs & riffs are church-trained. Something Gen Z. singers lack, with the exception of artists like H.E.R. 🦋

I was kinda worried because they both have such dominant voices but nah, they were super synched and not overshadowing each other
13:53 when jazmine hit that note he looked like he was gonna cry you can tell he loves music
She spent the whole time warming up then they got to the end fully open and ready. That was an amazing performance. I love R&B being loved. Great video.

The transition between Jasmine & H.E.R.'s voices is so smooth. H.E.R. is increasingly becoming my favorite
H E R sprinkles just enough pepper throughout this performance to make it even more brilliant, the band just shuts it down...perfect!! Jazzy is incredible 🔥

I don't too much fancy many raspy singers but there is something so rich & warm about Jazmine's voice that is SO appealing.
Their harmonizing is amazing
Her and Jaz are like lil sis and big sis vocally. Jazmine has the maturity, the experience, the emotion, vocally immaculate HER has the angelic voice, great control, amazing tone, and soul that lots of singers from her generation are lacking. I just love them! Also fun fact about HER, she can play about 5 instrument (all of which she learned before the age of ten)

This live concert hit so different when it dropped. Legit made me wish she recorded the song during that live be it gave everything in such a smooth raw way.
Let me type this now, so I don't forget. You are the FIRST musical coach I've watched who has actually dissected the patterns, changes in tones, movements, etc of a singer's voice in a manner I cared to listen to. I usually skip these types of videos, but I never skip my Philly sis Jazmine (and your hair didn't hurt neither lol). Brilliantly done!
