Tonight We Ride from UTA is another great one to hear the full powah of Brittney's voice - or you can kick off a deep dive with Awakening which is the first song of a wonderful story across two albums.

Someone already mentioned "Tonight We Ride;" so, I'll add "The Wind That Shapes the Land" or go way back to something like "City of Iron." Demons of the AstroWaste doesn't get enough love. ;-)

I think the vocal voice parallel you're thinking of is probably Ronnie James Dio... She seems to embody the female version of the late great Dio.

I don’t know who you mean, but I’ve seen her compared to Bruce Dickinson vocally.

The guitars in this recording were really far back in the mix and it seems like it's missing a lot of the mid and low range frequencies. As you mentioned it's a sound engineering issue rather than the band themselves. This was also before they started touring with backing tracks, so the song is missing all her recorded layers and harmonies that you would hear in the studio version. This is a very raw recording done by a fan if I'm not mistaken. If you watch the official video or listen to the official audio, you'll definitely hear the missing frequencies that fill out the soundscape. Even some of their latest live recordings that were done from Alcatraz (I think) was plagued with sound engineering issues. The band Jinjer also issues from that same event. I hope to see more unleash the archers on your Channel, but I recommend sticking to their official videos and or audio, since they're live recordings are usually just fan cams. They haven't had anything professionally shot live by a hired company yet, but I hope they do some type of live DVD in the future with a good sound crew, something like what Nightwish does with their live content.

This video was specifically requested, which was why I looked at this one. Definitely keen to check out their official stuff!

@@caseyreacts3133 oh ya I know it was requested, wasn't placing fault on anyone haha I hope you get into some of their newer stuff. Her creativity with implementing vocal layers and harmonies, and her dynamic decisions with those are awesome. Instead of using heavy effects, she will sing and record every single layer/harmony, even if it's the same note. Instead of using a doubler(copy and paste basically), she will record another layer(or more) and use that slight difference in each to her advantage. Her creativity with this really shines in the songs "Soulbound" and "Legacy". Not voice related, but if you decide to check out anything from their 2 latest albums, don't feel bad if you read the lyrics and find them confusing(we understand and are here for your vocal analysis) lol there is a single 20 chapter fantasy/sci-fi story told over them track by track, chapters 1-10 is the Apex album, 11-20 are on the Abyss album. This is another cool thing about Brittney, she a great story writer, and does an awesome job translating the story and emotion into musical form haha

Britney can go completely clean at will, including into a classical head voice she rarely shows. In an interview, she stated that the grit was the last part of her sound to come in and the hardest to develop. The mix is not bad, but the video is from the begining of their carreer, it's a tiny stage where you can't crank up the bass and guitars or it bleeds all over the place, so it's much less full than their studio sound. Try Awakening, Abyss and Legacy for the studio UTA. Her style is a very pure power metal sound, but in a woman's voice. Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast is another superb example. Try Master of Illusion.

I understand that the mix wasn’t giving you much… But you’re a voice coach who hardly said anything about the voice!!! I know that you were impressed, but please give details! That’s why you bother putting “voice coach“ in the title instead of just“ reaction“, right? I just don’t get it when voice coaches hold back on the details. Anyway, great reaction otherwise.
