This song is a cover of "Northwest Passage", one of the best-known songs by Canadian musician Stan Rogers. As Dean Sharinus said it is considered the unofficial Canadian anthem because the search for this passage opened up Canada to European exploration. The video is UTA's exploration of what it would be like to pass through different multiverses. (They are kind of nerdy that way). Love the song and your reaction.

Unleash the Archers has so many good songs, but "Time Stands Still" remains my favourite. To (unabashedly) quote myself, it "makes me want to ride into battle atop a horse atop a tank while brandishing a sword in one hand and a gun in the other." ;-)

The song is about the search for the northwest passage through the Canadian Arctic. A documentary to describe the search: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X55tltZtpLGXp5M.html. The actual song is cover of the original by Stan Rogers: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hoqNmq6ofZedqKw.html

"What universe is this?" The perfect question for this video. There is a great video on KZread where Brittney explains what is happening. Beware of Evil Brittney!

And now you know what it's like, turning a church choir into a metal band! Lol This song is what you get when you mix a "pirate-y sea shanty" with "fast-paced metal ballad."

This song really showcases Brittney Slayes’ (Hayes) rich voice and vocal control. I've heard some dye hard "old school" metal snobs who turn their noses up and say it wasn't hard enough. You guys enjoyed it for what it was... an enjoyable piece of music from a great group that can blow your socks off anytime. Good on ya!

Very creative. I'd love to see them go all-in with their funny side and do a Canadian answer to "We Got the Moves" by Eskimo Callboy -- only do it as "We Got the Moose." In the rave scene, instead of bowl cuts, everybody's wearing flannel and a tuque. ••• Thanks! PEACE!!! (-:

IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME NORTHWEST PASSAGE Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there it was said to lie The sea route to the Orient for which so many died Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea Three centuries thereafter, I take passage overland In the footsteps of brave Kelso, where his ""sea of flowers"" began Watching cities rise before me, then behind me sink again This tardiest explorer, driving hard across the plain And through the night, behind the wheel, the mileage clicking west I think upon Mackenzie, David Thompson and the rest Who cracked the mountain ramparts and did show a path for me To race the roaring Fraser to the sea Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea How then am I so different from the first men through this way Like them I left a settled life, I threw it all away To seek a Northwest Passage at the call of many men To find there but the road back home again
