Complete Vocal Technique Tips on how to sing in Neutral with authorized CVT teacher Lucia Ciobotaru. All singers can learn to sing in neutral with the right technique, how to sing with a soft sound - with or without air.
"Neutral is the non-metallic mode. It is a very extensive mode that contains many different sounds and sound colours. The sounds are softer and milder than the metallic modes.
The Neutral mode extends from notes that are soft and breathy to notes without air added. The two extremes within Neutral are called ‘Neutral with air’ and ‘Neutral without air’" - Complete Vocal Institute.

All the modes can be sung inreduced density with a different vibratory pathern in the vocal chords. The sound is more quiet,restrained, less volume. In all the various parts of the voice
