    Their song "Yuuve Yuuve Yu" is great too. A higher tempo beat, makes you want to dance. They also did a song for the soundtrack of Star Wars: Fallen Order called "Sugaan Essena" that is a really good one. You can tell why they picked these guys for a scifi game soundtrack, they sound almost otherworldly.

  • @jamescurfman3284
    @jamescurfman3284 Жыл бұрын

    This is when they got NOTICED and went viral. They are totally professional level and have continued to improve in music and their production. They did an OST for one of the biggest Star Wars video games. They have also covered Metallica's song, Sad But True, but The Hu translated the lyrics to Mongolian. The cover has a sound somewhat like Wolf Totem because they kept their traditional instruments in it as well as singing in their own language. Metallica had only the highest praise for the cover these guys made. It's truly an amazing song and then The Hu made a FANTASTIC Music Video for it that tells a different story than the original MV told.

    part of what's especially interesting to me is the ability to switch into it so seamlessly. since kargyraa (the style he's using here) requires a fairly specific tongue position in the back of your mouth (as far as I understand it anyway - there may be multiple methods. that's how I do it), some sounds like /k/ or /t/ are either impossible or require an immense amount of tongue control. to sing actual lyrics and immediately fall back into throat singing AND hit the right note with both the voice and the overtone is extremely impressive. clearly years and years and years of practice there.

    The Hu are amazing, their music really hits a strange, almost "primal" button in the soul that feels like it tethers us all together in a powerful, ancient art. Really, I think throat singing can be beautiful or powerful depending on how it's done, and I really love when others have an appreciation for it. It blows my mind when people think it's ugly or if they mock it, I'm so glad you were just so taken by the song you had to go back entirely and hear the beginning again!

    I was working in a mental health facility and struggling to connect with one of the residents with multiple mental health and intellectual disabilities. he was also unable to walk and quite isolated from the other residents. I struggled to find a 'key' to building connection with him and one day as I was walking to his unit, i heard his metal music. I went back and grabbed a lap top and introduced him to the HU and this song. Instant connection between us after that. He became a HU addict.

    The Hu are amazing. This song is off their first album, "The Gereg", which is great. And their second album "Rumble Of Thunder" is even better! "This Is Mongol" and "Black Thunder" have several good live videos on KZread, and usually get a good crowd response. I just discovered them on Friday when I was on Tic Tok and this was the first song I ever heard from them. I have been listening to them a lot since I discovered them on Friday. I believe they just started a US Tour or are about start it. I am planning on going to see them live when they are in my city where I reside. I have a band you should check out that does throat singing and they are called NYTT Land. The song you should check out by them is called U-Gra. I have been listening to them for about a year and a half or so.

    A treat for the future - The Hu ft Lzzy Hale. Don't even need the title. Won't be live but still an amazing performance.

    "Song of Women" The HU featuring Lizzy Hale from Halestorm . A beautiful tribute to women/mothers who are revered in Mongolian culture. Lizzy has one of the most powerful women's voices in rock. Then, you'll need to go down the Halestorm rabbit hole. A journey I believe you will truly enjoy!

    No youtube tenho me interessado bastante por assuntos da Mongólia e da China. História, filosofia, cultura, visão de mundo. O The Hu vi por acaso no KZread, com a música "Yuve Yuve Yu", uma live acustica creio que numa embaixada ou algo assim. E foi amor a primeira vista. Pensei que fosse somente aquela música mas, quando logo em seguida busquei o canal deles, não tem nenhuma exceção, absolutamente todas as músicas são fortes, envolventes e marcantes demais. E as letras? Das que tinham legenda em inglês, falam do orgulho de ser Mongol - descendentes de Gengis Khan -, do respeito à Natureza, das relações simples no dia a dia. As vozes saídas diretamente da garganta, me remetem ao primitivo essencial do ser humano. Homens de cabelos longos, então, enchem meus olhos. As produções dos vídeos são de excelente qualidade. Tudo no The Hu, para mim, é envolvente. Até a marca. É um chamado a participar. Dá vontade de sair dançando e cantando onde estiver (às vezes me permito essas expressões). Enfim, eu ❤The Hu.

    "Throat singing" or overtone singing is fascinating to listen to . Experiencing it live is mind blowing , when done right you can feel the sound even without amplification .
