I've seen Manowar at the KINGDOM COME tour 1988 (ore 1989 🤔) and I can say one thing truly: I've seen many many bands, most of them were loud. But Manowar had not only a hellish volume at all times, but still a crystal clear sound. The only concert I've ever been, where even my pulse was to the beat of the music.

love the fact that you have found Manowar at least twice now. For yer next Manowar reaction, please try something a wee bit more 'fast paced'. Eric's vocal register is massively impressive. May I suggest, Sign of the Hammer, The Oath, Black Wind, Fire and Steel, Hail and Kill, The Power, House of Death, etc... The list could go on and on. But if you really like that 'bombastic', 'epic' sound, then perhaps Mountain, Guyana, Nessum Dorma and/or Battle Hymns. 🤘🏻🇬🇧🖤

No matter what one personally thinks about their music and image, that is a matter of taste, Manowar had always been the most fan friendly and innovative band in the history of heavy metal! With their - we don't give a fuck what you think we should do and how we should sound - they just flattened the heavy metal community with their legandary 1988 album "Kings of Metal". Not only did they create the "Viking Metal", they also made spoken words, choirs, organs, violins and even the western theme fashionable in heavy metal, usually 10-20 years prior to anybody else. So, even if you might have a smile about their - fancy pants - image as musicians they deserve all the respect possible. And besides that one should notice the incredible phenomenon of people all waving the flags of their contries and yet they all stand in unity. Salute!

You can hear Eric's love of Deep Purple and the influence of Ian Gillan on his vocals - but he has forged his own path and remains one of metal's greatest vocalists. You mention how he can master the quiet and bombastic sound - I'd recommend the ballad Master of the Wind to showcase Eric as it shows how great his voice is - or Heart of Steel.

they are certainly not for everyone especially because of their image and the way they market themselves but that Kings of Metal album is one that guided me through some difficult times as a teenager, they kept me going whenever I needed some extra motivation especially this one, kingdom come, hail and kill and heart of steel are my favorites. To me they either have great songs or it is totally nothing.

Manowar are so much fun. I mean, there is certainly an element of cheese in there Uber all things metal approach.. but it is kind of endearing I have to admit. they certainly love their fans and have an amazing relationship with them, and Eric Adams can freaking sing. so it's good to see them getting some love here on your channel. thanks for all you do. m.

I've seen a lot of reactions to Manowar, but you're the first to capture their essence - these remarks about dramatic pauses, etc. - Eric Adams is like playing in a theater, telling us the story in all the faces, his songs are a modern version of an ancient epic, and he himself is a modern bard. He is telling us the story, we are living it, including on very deep emotional level, because of a lot of techniques that Eric uses in his voice, intonations, etc. I listen to a lot of rock and metal, but Eric is the only one. That is why it is not surprising at all that in his work he turns to the ancient Greek epic, Homer, and the Scandinavian epic of the Elder and Younger Eddas, among other things - this cross-section of culture corresponds as closely as possible to what Eric himself does.

I've always underrated this song in the studio Version, but I must admit that live it should be something simply epic! But my favourite is Master of the Wind, hope one day you'll take a look at that masterpiece.

I used to have a cockerel called Errol. This is his favourite song. He'd sit on my shoulder and I'd be listening to music, and when the intro to The Crown and the Ring played, he would stand up and puff out his chest.

Great metal vocalist Eric Adams. And the genius of metal anthems bassist Joey DeMaio. And in sum, the greatest Manowar group of all time. Good analysis and reaction. Please make your reaction to the genius of musician and vocalist Hansi Kürsch from the Greatest band BLIND GUARDIAN - Secrets Of The American Gods.

Hey beth, i have a request; soen - jinn. I think its a hell of a piece that i wanted to learn for a long time and i would like seeing you breaking it down into understandable parts. I only did growling for almost 12 years and this is the place where i'd like to start. Cheers! 🙂
