Heart-wrenching! | Manowar The Crown And The Ring (Lament Of The Kings) WITH LYRICS | Reaction

This is only the second song I've heard from Manowar, but Crown and the Ring is a much different tempo and feeling than Warriors of the World!

It's honestly amazing I had never heard of them before a few months ago, considering I listened to tons of heavy metal in the 80's!

Underrated? No way. We grew with these bands they were the kings of metal, at different levels of hardness each. Manowar, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Metallica.. They aged like everyone of us and musical taste differed also in time. But one thing im sure they were known by every metal music lover feon each corner of the world. Im talking about the times before internet:) Megadeth and Manowar had the most artistic album covers, printed onto shorts also.

They reached 139db in volume at the Magic Circle Festival in 2008. The highest band volume ever recorded. That was at the soundcheck though. They had to turn it down for the gig, as that is far beyond the pain threshold. A jet taking off only reaches 130db. I saw them at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1984 and they were so loud a chunk of plaster came down off the ceiling. Also saw them at the Marquee 1994 when they set a venue volume record. No wonder my hearing is not what it was, haha

I've been to my first Manowar concert over 30 years ago. I saw them last year and even though I can't really afford it, I'm thinking about going next year. I don't listen to them very often anymore but they are on of the best live bands I know. Eric wanted to retire for years now, so who knows if there will be another change to see them.

Was there. It was amazing of course. Like it always is with MANOWAR. They recorded this song in 1988 and this was in Bad Arolsen in Germany in 2008. The choir are the same that was on the album 20 years before. Those who were still alive. At this festival MANOWAR played two nights in a row and played every song from their first six albums. It was epic. You MUST check out Battlehymn live at Earthshaker festival 2005. All then present and former band members together on stage with choir and symphony orchestra. That was the ultimate metal moment ever. Was in the frontline.

I don't remember division like this when I was younger. We all joked with each other, we all got along if we liked the same things...but now it's left vs. right, black vs. white, etc...And I think the elites like it that way. It's good for getting votes.

@@MrsRealistic there are no „elites“ who want something. Money rules the world. Fascism is the highest form of capitalism. Poor workers, slave labour…, death. We had all this already. Greetings from Germany. Don’t vote for Trump. Let us all be friends again.

Wow! I don't remember Manowar from the 80s sounding like this. This was awesome. I always thought they were kinda posers back then compared to bands like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, Mercyful Fate, and so on. So I don't think I gave them a fair chance. I'm going to have to go back and re listen so some of those older albums.

Start with Sign of the Hammer. Their best, in my opinion, four absolute classics and the production is dated but not too raw, like Battle Hymns. There are a bunch of live albums from the late 90s and 2000s with really good sound.

Saw them at The Thirsty Whale in '88 or '89. I love loud metal, but that place was WAY too small for the volume Manowar was putting out. I actually had to step back and sit at the bar for most of the show.

greetings and love from Cologne, Germany again. With a few tears rolling down, I enjoyed your reaction to this beautiful performance. Thanks for coming back to Manowar, one of my favorite bands, next to Iron Maiden, since the mid-80s. The same feelings were awakened in me in relation to the band and their bond with the fans, as with you. But I could never have described and expressed it the way you did. I think, based on some reactions I've seen from you, that you gonna love the performance to "Swords in the Wind" by Manowar as much as this one. Even though I'm not a Patreon, I would recommend this song to you and would be grateful if you would react to it. In case I will be happy to send you the link. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pp-EzqSfaZS_o8Y.htmlsi=T5k-5Kfgd0qpoQi6 Have a peaceful day, my dear and again, Thank You, stay save..........All Hail, Manowar
