Your comments are very nicely given and probably can be of much help to aspiring singers but happily I am not an expert in the techniques of acting, cooking or singing. I can see a movie, eat a meal and hear a song without realizing the imperfections and experience absolute enjoyment as I did with this performance of Maggie's.

I like that you were honest about her performance even though you're a big fan. It drives me nuts when I watch vocal coach vids and they overlook bad technique because they're fans of the vocalist, it doesn't help anyone learn anything!

Found Maggie recently by accident. I like her a lot, she’s going to be great I think, but I think she’s still learning her craft, especially live. I saw a duet she did with Florence Welch, and there was an obvious difference in the professional ability. We should keep our eyes on Maggie!

What are you talking about? This live version is way better than the recorded one in the album. Nobody cares about perfection when there is soulful performance.

Idk if you ever heard of Dimash Kudaibergen. He is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music and is known for his wide vocal range of 6 octaves, from A1 (vocal fry) to D8. This spans from the bottom of the bass range beyond the top of the soprano range. One of my favorites would be him performing “SOS” from I’m a singer contest. I just watched her on Austin City Limits and to my ears she sang out of tune most of the time. Possibly because she jumped around a LOT. So I am inclined to agree
