¡Vivan! Hermoso talento latino, tanto la canción mexicana como el tenor peruano. 😊 Saludos desde Andalucía, España.
As a Mexican I almost die when I heard this incredible interpretation of our beloved song by Juan Diego Flórez. 💖💖💖
You know just how good the performance was when you see the look of absolute admiration on the face of one of the greatest opera singers standing in the wings, Placido Domingo.
Great Mexican song by a great Peruvian singer....explained by a great Scottish vocal coach.
Juan is seamless. He must be one of the best singers of our era. Saludos desde Brasil 🇧🇷

One of the best opera singers working today. Have you heard him in La Fille De Regiment? Pavarotti heard him and handed his crown over.
Beautiful Mexican song, sand by a Peruvian Maestro and appreciate by a Spaniard Monster (Placido Domingo)… 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Juan Diego Flores, is not only a great singer, but also an extraordinary person, who has a foundation to train musicians with low-income children With whom he has an orchestra, with which he made a presentation, he abroad and the children playing in Peru

No. El trasciende fronteras. Es un gran cantante de Hispanoamerica.
This was an opera performance but you can see in the beginning when he came out he TAKES OFF HIS TIE and he tells the audience to forgive him because he's going to give them something different. I love this part of him taking his tie off and offering the audience who went to see an opera singer something that is traditionally a Mexican popular song or what I mean to say a very "Latino" very casual and it is a sign of him saying- I am an opera singer here you are you paid to see me sing opera but now I'm going to take off my tie and show you my soul... I am I'm going to offer you a different song that is very close to his heart so he starts singing this very non opera song in another language to his probably speaking English audience who went to see Opera but then he shows them... let me show you this other part of me ... what I see this is him showing his soul by singing a song that is not Opera but that he sang it in a way that anyone could appreciate it
México y Perú unidos en esta canción! 💙

Respect for my peruvian brothers. Viva latinoamerica.
He is the best tenor I have ever heard. Mostly tenors sound to me as if they are about to burst-blood vessels. Or, at least to "twang" the bracers that hold their trousers up. Including all the "big names" This Peruvian chap is a revelation.
He has a great taste indeed, never heard him doing anything distasteful. He may do things a bit differently when not in his normal repertoire and yet he will find a way to shine. He also obviously loves his latin repertoire very much and really puts his heart in it.
Sensitive interpretation of the Peruvian tenor Juan-Diego Florez. Endearing composition by the Mexican Don Tomás Méndez 🇲🇽. 👏👏💐🌅🇲🇽💟 Honored by your art and magic - Thank you Juan Diego👏🕊🙋🏻♀️✨️

I love how the camera cuts to Placido Domingo in the middle of one of his more opera-y notes.
Such a magnificent performance. JDF is one of the greats of our age. ❤️
I love see your reactions for the big "Juan Diego Florez"😊 You need to see him sings "Ah mes amis". You will love it
He is a great singer! this song is also beautifully sang by Lola Beltrán, Lola La Grande! She was amazing! and sang it in a Ranchera mode, with mariachi. You have to listen it with her!

Best liric tenor of all times ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful! Loved this 😍😍! If you like these kind of songs, there's one called "Malageña Salerosa" I love the Chingon version, but was surprised that Avenged Sevenfold also performed it! You can hear the traditional, but these two bands offer a great performance of it 😊
Excelente análisis,te felicito, desde Venezuela, cuna de grandes músicos como Alfredo Sadel gran Tenor reconocido internacionalmente
Wow marvelous voice 👏👏👏🙏🙏another Pavarotti 🙏👏👏😘
That was beautiful. Brought back memories of my childhood, when my Dad would play his guitar and sing this song, as well as many other Mexican songs. He wasn't a professional musician, but easily could have been. He was very good, God rest his soul. He did a killer version of La Bamba, and had one of his Martin guitars all gouged up to prove it, lol.
My list of prefered versions of this song and I have to note I'm from Mexico and I like to be neutral regardless of where the song originated. 1st - This version Juan Diego flores 2- Lola Beltran (I believe she's the first singer to sing it or at least she's the main one known for it) 3- Pedro Infante 4- Lila Downs 5- The guy from Bazil from the movie of Almodovar forgot his name so sorry

Thank you for tackling my favorite rendition of my favorite song. I grew up savoring our LP of Harry Belafonte literally crooning this ballad. When I heard Juan Diego’s rendition I moved him not my Pantheon of “best Evers”.
I love his voice. When I was child I watch a movie called Escuela De Vagabundos (School for Tramps) 1955 movie very old lol also sing Cucurrcucu Paloma by Pedro Infante. You also might enjoy watch it.
Gracias por reaccionar al gran Juan Diego Flores!!!
Perfect video! I got interested in Mexcan song upon hearing and seeing videos of Linda Ronstadt, then famous Mexican singer Lola Beltran and others. And now the wonderful opera tenor Juan Diego Florez from Peru. Music can be such a journey if you let your mind open ...
My Lady, congratulations, you are a tremendous proffessional and you paid respect to the singer, which painted you completely, very good!!! Please present some analysis of Amira.... will be the best one for us her fans!!
hahaha :) I really liked the introduction: "this guy is from Peru" :P talking about one of the best opera singer of this time :))) but regardless, I'm really glad someone finally reacted to it, wanted to hear som professional opinion et comments besides those that this is just fantastic performance! If you have a chance to hear hem live in opera performance - don't waste this chance, trust me, it will knock you out of your socks :) PS. possible to have a bit more of opera (singers) reactions? That would be awesome.

(affectionately) The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils; The motions of his spirit are dull as night, And his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted. Mark the music! Dear Beth, So happy that I found your channel! I am quite sensitive to music as well, but I am a mathematician/engineer/translator with a bit of musical education. Now, if I want to illustrate the term "eargasm" to my friends who wonder what it's like, I show them this video :D I've translated this song to my mother tongue (Russian) and sing it when drunk (#russkoffstyle) using those techniques that you explained... and my neighbor from downstairs starts thumping from below like some non-musical German devil! Well, then I recite Shakespeare and sulk for 10 minutes. Thank you for your work, and I wish you a long and fruitful creative life! ♥

Can you react to Javier Camarena when he received an Encore at the New York Opera only Pavarotti has received that ( and one other) an encore happens when the audiences appause requires the tenor to repeat the aria.... are you probably imagine this was incredible because there are not many Mexican tenors and the first time he was covering for another tenor that was sick and on his performance he ended up getting on encore! at the NY met (biggest house) he then became famous then on the A MES AMIS aria he received another encore... for his high Cs!!! I am sure your Latin followers will appreciate this performance is not a lot of know about OfferUp but he is very special being right now the second Latino important in the Opera world
Thanks!

Great singer! I will never sing like that.
Every time you close your eyes you miss placido domingo in the audience. Who he was trying to find visually at the end of the song.
Él cantaba pop y rock en sus inicios, luego fue que se interesó en lo lírico. Y sin ser experto, deduzco que por eso, canta tan bien las canciones populares latinoamericanas. No necesita sacar su voz de tenor.

Dear Professor, the style of the song is HUAPANGO; I think Juan Diego Florez sings following the original style and, of course, being an opera singer, the result is great! I recommend listen the version of one great mexican singer: Pedro Infante.- Thank you!
