Una aclaración fué José Luis Moreno el locutor de radio mil que al escuchar junto a José José QEPD la canción el Príncipe al terminar la pieza dijo acaban de escuchar el príncipe con el príncipe de la canción José José y desde ahí se le quedó ese epíteto al maestro José José QEPD, todo esto dicho por el propio José José,lo que si es que Sinatra quiso grabar con él y las disqueras no se pusieron de acuerdo y por eso no se hizo ese dueto, saludos.

50 años después.. no hay comparación a esta presentación, creo en 50 años tampoco habrá igual.. saludos desde Bolivia.. que orgullo haber tenido este artista para los mexicanos

The video corresponds to the Second Latin Song Festival in 1970, he came in third place but the public did not agree and asked him to sing again, they threw flowers at him (as a symbol that the public declared him a winner) and he obtained a standing ovation from the assistants. The images that passed from attendees were of famous singers in Mexico at that time who were impressed. It became an icon in Mexico and in Latin America. There are many covers of this song but since it is not a simple song to sing, not all of them achieve a good interpretation.

Le estare eternamente agradecida a Mejico por regular Oscar un cantante tan maravilloso como lo fue Jose Jose. El hizo muchos concerts en Puerto Rico y nosotros Los puertoriquenos lo quisimos y queremos mucho.

This amazing voice is still a legend, when he passed away all of Mexico celebrated this man. It is sad that at the end of his life he lost his voice. Drugs played a big roll. Jose Jose for me will be one of the greatest balladeers that ever lived.. May you rest in peace sweet prince.

I lost my father do to alcoholism But he loved this song and it bought me back to listening to it.

First time I heard Jose Jose I knew he would be a legend in the world of music. I was only 23 same age as Jose Jose in '70. El Principe de la cancion.

He was my favorite singer of all times when I was in my late teens early 20s. I am puertorican, and when my dad heard one of my cassettes from Jose Jose, now it is my dad's favorite singer. I almost cried when heard of the sick Ness he got in his late 40s that caused for him to end up loosing his voice. I LOVED HIM!! Lord rest his soul....😢❤

That was an incredible night and even though I was a little kid, I still remember watching it live on tv. The man shown dropping his jaw very surprised was at the time, an already well-known and recognized Mexican singer nicknamed "the luxury of Mexico." That´s the size of the impact Jose Jose caused in the entire Hispanic world with his disrupting incursion in the music scene. And, yes, he met all blue eyes and sang a song for him at Sinatra´s birthday party in 1980 I believe. Great reaction, thank you.

I was lucky enough to meet that drummer once! He told me about the huge bass and snare drums he must use: there were no stage nor side field monitors back then, so he had to SLAM those drums! In fact, because of this very fact, he was the first mexican drummer in use an electric, amplified drumset. Rest in power, maestro Álvaro López Sr.

Jose Jose hijo de cantante de opera , sin quitarle ningun mérito. La cancion la compuso Roberto Cantoral , estando fuera de Mexico fallece su madre, regresa a México en el avion compone la cancion . Excelente composicion , excelente arreglo musical , excelsa interpretacion . Dato aparte Roberto Cantoral tambien fue presidente de La Asociacion Nacional de Autores y Compositores. Lo extraordinario es que se recibio una delegación china de visita expresa , interesada en la reglamentacion y manejo de las obras en materia de composicion y autoria . Dios me los Bendiga a todos .

I'm mexican and i can tell that José José is one of the most wonderful, powerful and humble singer that You can find. He was so talented, he has opera knowledge , unfortunatly he was alcoholic and he Lost his voice. Many mexican singer try to sing his songs but it's almost imposible. He died free years ago and México cries a Lot, he was a treasure for mexican people.
