Pride of Sweden David Letterman liked them so much that he asked for them to be one of the musical guests on his last week on the Late Show They've also performed multiple times at the the Polar Music Prize ceremonies

Yep..think I cried throughout their performance for Emmylou Harris. As an American I still miss Graham Parsons...and she is a pop/country jewel.
This sounds to me like a crossover of Celtic, Viking, Native Americans and Country/Western with a hint to "World music" like Loreena KcKennitt or Enya. I like how they often merge different styles into their music to not let it sound like any other song.

Me too!
I'm just blue collar plumber in my late 40's. It's hard for me to get out of my comfort zone and try new things but the first time I heard these young ladies I fell in love with their music. There is just something about siblings and harmonizing. Like the Louvin Brothers or the Stanley Brothers. It just feels like they do it it better and sound better than just to people harmonizing together. I personally like their song/video that they did in an Australian alleyway called Waltz For Richard. It's from early in their career. I think it's something special and well worth a listen/view.
Probably my favorite First Aid Kit song. An older song but they consistently writing good lyric and music for 13 or 14 years, no easy feat in this day and time. The video fits so well with the song. You would never know they are Swedish from listening to their music.
This is one of my favourite songs of all time and definitely my favourite of First Aid Kit! I also love The Lion's Roar, Silver Lining and Stay Gold

I am right there with you.
Freakin love these sisters. Seeing them live in a small venue is a favorite concert memory of all time for me.
My favourite band ever - thanks for reacting to them as it feels like they're slept on by most reactors. Klara's voice in particular is outstanding, and their catalogue is so diverse, I hope you get to hear more of them.
I've got 5 of their albums Inc their latest. These women are just awsome and don't get nearly enough air time on British radio, and for the life of me I just don't know why. Their harmonising is just insanely good. Love them
One my favorite artists of the last 20 years. Beautiful and distinct voices unite in that magical blood-harmony. Great musical sensibilty, creative melodies and their lyrics had a level of maturity beyond their years right from the beginning.
Your comment about cattle call element is spot on. Traces of this tradition can be seen and heard in many Swedish and Norwegian songs.
Spot on with the calling of cattle. This tradition is called ”kulning” in Sweden. And is still used by some people. Jonna Jinton is a great example of how to weave in kulning in songs.
It always great to hear siblings singing together… the harmonies seem to always work… The Beach Boys, The Bee Gees, etc … more importantly that they have the opportunity to work together…

The Staves are a group comprising three sisters, and they have some of the most pleasant harmonies I have ever heard. Joseph is another good group (also coincidentally a three-sister group).
The first song I heard of them, fell in love with their sound immediately. 😊
❤Johanna Söderberg ❤Klara Söderberg ❤ Beth Roars ❤ They are three fantastic singers
What beautiful voices! 💕
I was lucky enough to have a pair of sisters in my home town who used to perform a ton of First Aid Kit songs together at some pub gigs. So awesome! 😊
Great song! The harmonies are stunning and I love the juxtaposition of acoustic guitar and the big percussion. I'd never noticed the Nordic roots in county before. I thought it was really only descended from British and Irish folk, but I can definitely hear what you mean. Great insight.
Such a good work :) congratulations and keep it on!!! Thank you 😊

Thank you! 😃
Had this on my playlist for a couple years, but never guessed they were Swedish. But now it makes sense.
Good Harvest duo, from Sweden too, does even more amazing harmonies. David Crosby was raving about this band. You already covered one of the singers in her other band Brother of Metal which is so different than Good Harvest. Per Gessle from Roxette has been promoting them too.
Love First Aid kit ,This song Always reminds me of Empire Larp ,Check out some Mandolin Orange now known as WatchHouse.
HELLO FROM AUSTRALIA.LOVE YOUR CHANELL AND LOVE YOUR ENERGY WHEN LISTENING TO THE MUSIC,ESPECIALY OUR AUSSIE SINGERS.
Try Dire Wolf by Grateful Dead. Excellent pedal steel guitar playing by Jerry Garcia to accompany his vocal work on the studio version of this song
I've heard this before. I have no idea how because I'm Australian. It must of been a KZread rabbit hole song when I was just clicking random stuff to find new music,,, I like this song. Pretty sure it will be in one of my playlists 🙂👍
🎉🎉🎉 As a fan of the NC State Wolfpack, i am loving the lupine direction 🐺🐺🐺
Listen to they sing Waltz for Richard.. more Scottis/Irish style.
I’d definitely suggest Soffía, an Icelandic alternative/country singer. An amazing voice and so expressive.
Hello again, younger sister from a different mister.:) You introduce me to much music that I might not have encountered without your influence, and I am grateful.:)

Aussie band Kingswood did a ripping rock cover of this song. You should check it out Beth.👌
Dare I recommend another a Swedish singer for you to react to? Sofia Jannok- a Sami singer who sings a lot of her songs on the Sami language. Awesome and beautiful songs
Month of the wolf should absolutely include the band Wolfheart 🤘 The Flood or Zero Gravity
Hermosa. la cultura celta junta con sus mujeres las escocesas que radican en México son verdaderamente bellas no me estraña que la coach sea tan hermosa bien Beth 👏👏🍀🍀
Could you react to a Brazilian song called Nada Sei from a brazilian band named Kid Abelha? Its a quite simple song but very good, the singer is just awesome, thank you! Brazilian folks would sure apreaciate it too!
Video is so Nordic
Love songs that are able to capture the essence of the wolf and I always enjoy watching your reactions. If you haven't filled your wolf-song dance card, may I suggest the following: Seawolf - You're a Wolf - kzread.info/dash/bejne/hqh1x5aOfLqacbA.html Bet Smith - Lone Wolf - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oHuEw7ypg9rFeqg.html TV on the Radio - Wolf Like Me - kzread.info/dash/bejne/aK2tsKyRoLOZdbg.html There are many others and you've already reacted to Aurora's great Running with the Wolves. 🤘

By your name I guess you have some connection to the northern countries of Europe (Norway?) so maybe you heard this one already "Garmarna - Varulven". It's a Swedish folk song and it's about a werewolf meeting a maiden in the forest. It's played on medieval instruments but if you never heard it the sound might surprise you, hopefully in a good way. You talked about catching the spirit of the wolf and I think this one does. At least the werewolf's spirit (if they have any). 😄
Check out their Glastonbury live version.
Beth! I Found a song song you must react to!, Mon Laferte - Nothing Else Matters version you will love it
Would love to hear your reaction to Move me by Badflower :)

The song gives a bit similar wibes with the Susanne Sundfør's "White foxes" song for some reason 🙂: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nX9tsq5_aaSpe9I.htmlfeature=shared
