Didn’t they also have technical issues with the voting app that they had to give people an extra day to be able to vote for their favourite to win the national final this year? There were a lot of technical issues this time around. So this entry definitely sounds more like it was suffering from these technical issues rather than it being poorly mixed.

There are many spare seats because of security reasons. They had to pre-record it, and people were invited personally. No one was allowed to buy tickets. Guests all signed a kind of NDA so that no one who is not invited knew where and when the show was pre-recorded. All these security measures were taken because it is not safe to have live events in Ukraine. Any minute Russia can launch a massive attack with shelling and Iranian drones. But they pre-recorded everything as if it was live -- in one take. If the air raid alarm happened, everyone stopped recording and went to the shelter. Last year they organized Vidbir at the underground metro station. You can even hear when the trains are passing.

I've watched Vidbir on YT, both this year and last year. It was an amazing show, even in those conditions: last year I remember forgetting the fact that it was filmed in a subway station (only being sometimes reminded by the trains). @@Marabarra94 I like it beyond those technicalities. It is in my top 3, regardless of country of origin. Your 3 first arguments are just personal opinions. The only fair one was about the sound. Generally Ukraine sends powerfull songs, so I don't get your point. Also people vote based on their feelings. If there is a war, there are even more feelings, but only a few people would vote giving their own money for a bad song.

They host Vidbir last year in a train station but this year not.

The sound was horrible, but it wont be a problem in Malmo. Another very good job from Ukraine.

I love listening to this song. it's about how all the saints (Teresa, Maria) were born as humans on this earth. The song also talks about "divas" in a positive way, as in people who have come far in their personal development.

Been a huge grower for me! One has to listen to the recorded version to get the whole impact because of the terrible sound mix in Vidbir. Well done Ukraine though for even having the show under the appalling circumstances. I think this will kill on the big stage in Sweden with better sound and the usual Ukrainian production elevation.

To me up to this point it’s the only song that has potential winner vibes. I have like 3 of 4 songs that I just like left, but Ukraine to me delivers as always, and it’s in the top of my ranking. Or I should say, AT the top. I first thought the girls were named Alyona & Alyona and Jerry Heil was some DJ in the background or something. I also didn’t hear the English part of: “All the divas were born as a human being” until I listened to it twice and someone actually still had to point it out somewhere in the comments 😂 But yeah, it’s haunting, interesting and I really love it. I’m very interested in your reaction to the UK entry this year btw lol 🇬🇧

I agree they need to be much louder in the refrain, and the performance didn't totally convince me. But the song and their abilities are amazing. I am looking forward to see them on the Eurovision stage

I really like the song, the live, but the whole thing it's really scarry....or...I don't know 2024 should have the logo "Spooky Europe".

When I heard the name Jerry Heil for the first time, I was of course thinking that I'm going to hear the voice of a man, because Jerry is actually a name for a man and extremely rare as a woman's name. I recently found out that she possibly had two sources of inspiration that made her choose this stage name: "Jerry" comes from Tom and Jerry, and Heil was the name that she found on a website with American surnames. By the way, it is pronounced like the name Hale.

You didn't even listen to the full song, only chunks. There is so much happening in each bar/measure. It's impossible to hear the song properly and make a sound judgement.

Of course we support Ukraine in their situation but we have to be fair to everyone and separate sympathy to the Ukraine people and the song contest and judge their performances according to how they presented themselves and not because of the War in their country ,it's unfair to everyone who are preparing themselves for the contest for sometime ,or else just send the trophy to Ukraine and everybody will just stay home.

Very hard for people to express honest opinions about this song, there's always going to be politics, it's a song contest though.. Nowhere near the quality of Ukrainian winning song, still number one with the bookies. It's a good one but nothing special personally, not my cup of tea.

Totally disagree! Georgina expresses her opinion on the song and on the performance. She is not obliged to praise something she doesn’t really like. Most likely, Georgina has no idea that the recording took place in the bomb shelter hence there were problems with sound and spare seats she mentions. Maybe, she is not even aware of the fact that Ukraine has been fighting for its right to exist for almost two years. And what? It doesn’t make Georgina less human. Eurovision is not about politics. It’s about music. I do like the song and believe that in Malmo the girls will show the best performance. It doesn’t mean, though, that people who don’t like it don’t have any heart.
