In addition to Tim’s incredible talent, he’s a genuine and humble guy to talk to. I walked up to him on the street in Charlotte, NC at the 2022 International Barbershop Convention and introduced myself. He’s a super nice guy. And insanely talented. LOL.

I sang barbershop and I can’t fathom how Tim holds those notes so long and perfect! Truly a gift from God!

I sing Barbershop (in Multitrack). With Every Tag I've done, I feel I've truly grown, as I've had no (specific) traditional Barbershop training. I did take chorus in school, but in a mixed environment (I was an alto in my class)

48 seconds on that last phrase, like ya do. Tim can hold notes forever, has superhuman range, and does it all with a ridiculously high level of artistry. You definitely should react to more of his work - Start with Bridge Over Troubled Water and go from there

During the pandemic a new quartet did a #BarbershopQuarantet video for Christmas with the four of them each recording their parts separately. The tenor did the melody on this song, and he “only” held the hanger tag for 20 sec. (which came in really handy for timing your hand-washing then). You are right that this is not Barbershop, but Tim is thought of as barbershop because he is a Gold medal Tenor with Vocal Spectrum, and makes a living doing learning tracks that are ubiquitous throughout the barbershop world, not just in men's arrangements, but in women's and mixed arrangements as well.

Just a testament to how great Tim is. He can take something that's not barbershop, and make it Barbershop. That's why I admire Tim so much (one of many reasons).

According to Tim's video, this was recorded in an actual cathedral, so the reverb was natural, not edited in.

Wow, it's a very holy and beautiful voice. Fortena, a Korean crossover group, also sings in such a beautiful and holy way, so I hope you listen to their song "Wedding Cake," which they won in "Immortal Songs." Even though they are four, it sounds like a choir is singing. And their signature song, "Neapolis", is amazing, too. I recommend it.

Im not a barbershop judge, but I know he'd be penalised for the arrangement because it's not remotely barbershop! But lovely, yes! And you're right, barbershop is nerdy - I LOVE it! I'm a total barbernerd! Best genre of music ever 😊
