Dimash was trained Marcelito doesn't .there's a big difference.he trained himself by listening and singing in Karaoke.been on the street since a small kid stayed w/his father in prison when he was 2yrs.old while Dimash was born i'm sure in silver spoon.

So many Italian people immigrated to Philippines especially in Manila, Cebu and Bohol during the Spanish colonization in Philippines back then. Italian language are not new to the Filipino people.

The thing I find most amazing is that when he sings Celine's part he has a Canadian accent but when he sings the English parts sung by Andreas he sings them in English with an Italian accent. His spoken English is extremely basic and he speaks no Italian at all so he is obviously learning these vocal parts be ear and manages to detect every single facet of the original performers voices. That in itself is an extraordinary talent.

To see the honest genuine reaction to this Beautiful singer and the song is Precious. I'm not teary eyed, you are.

He has god given talent. His amazing the way he sang flawless and clear...his unique. Bless him. Self taught.

His vocals are so clean and clear, all while sitting down!!!

He is a great singer & a humble person.

He has the ability to switch his voice both soprano and tenor consistently throughout the entire duration of the song,which makes him a very unique artist.The smoothness and the flawlessness of his voice is just incredible and insane. And there are only few singers who can do that in the world, even gifted singers and artist cannot do it the way this gentleman does.Im proud here from the Philippines...

In his struggle we pray he wins your hearts please support him. He is on AGT we hope you would support him. Marcelito Pomoy is a great talent we want to share with the world.

It's my understanding that Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song by listening to and mimicking a recording. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks the Philipino broken english, but being self taught is also singing in English, Italian and Chinese. Possible more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7, and now is married and a father! His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

I've watched this more than 100 X, over the years and have never tired of it. I'm a HUGE Andrea Bocelli fan and have him paring with Sarah Brightman, "Time to say Goodbye". The first time I heard Marcelito Pomoy sing "The Prayer", I was blown away. I get goosebumps and teary-eyed every time I hear the song. Thanks for reviewing it 🙂

Not only he sings instead of two male and female people, but also he is singing in different languages. He is just amazing. I have watched his performance at least 50 times and I will be watching an other 500 times or more.

I absolutely love your reactions. Not many reactors are "taken aback" at the same moments that I am taken aback. You recognize so much more in these performers that some seem to let go by, without comment. I love that you're amazed by Marcelito, as he has now been on AGT doing the same song and WOW-ed America. I saw this Wish vocal about 8 months ago so I was not as surprised by the "duet" that the judges and audience seemed to be. Still, his performance on AGT, doing the same song, seemed to have been slightly a bit better on the show. I also love your reactions to Morissette Amon!! I spent the lockdown watching reaction videos of Marcelito. So far, the two highlights I'm waiting for in every video was "WHAT"?! At the beginning and at the middle part. Gets everytime.

ironically, i watched that same video for the first time over 2 years ago and countless times since then and here a couple years later i clicked on your video because i still get the urge to watch it, and i like watching peoples faces when they hear him for the first time but for me even now every time i watch it again i always catch something new that i missed in all the previous times i watched it.

Me personally found him on America's Got Talent when he performed this song and I had to close my eyes during his performance and opened my eyes and absolutely couldn't believe that it was actually one person doing this song he originally originated from Philippines and grew up as a orphan!

Dear Nina, he joked that he was expelling the female voice at the end. In case nobody has mentioned it before, Dimash has done 2 Celine songs so far. My Heart Will Go On from the movie Titanic and on Singer 2017 episode 9 he did All By Myself in which he does something special that again will surprise you.
