I saw a vocal coach call it "a whistled fry scream ". To me that's much more accurate than calling it a cry or break, because those sound very different to me.

So happy to see Morissette make it to your channel. This young lady is the best kept secret hiding in plain sight! Fans from all over the world including myself here in the US,are absolutely in love with her. Loved your reaction and am looking forward to more of her here! Just a side note. This is actually a radio station/recording studio on a Bus. In this case she is not alone. This is from a live pres conference for her solo concert in Dubai. Unseen here are two press corps being patched in live via satellite, a live feed from Wish, and an audience of hundreds outside the bus, all who can see her, in addition to the live radio audience. New sub here. I accidently stumbled across Morissette about a year ago and instantly fell in love! Her voice is so rich and distinctive you instantly know it's her singing without looking! Her vocal breaks, growls and whistle register are her trademarks. Please react to her native language originals, Naririnig mo ba, Akin ka na lang or her performance at the 2017/2018 Asian Song Festivals respectivly held in Soul, Korea if you really want to hear some vocal calisthenics this girl is capable of.

To me she looks like she is kind of like almost exhausted at the end, because it takes so much support to do all those big notes, so she was using all of her energy for them. At the end she can finally relax and release.

Yes, she is a phenomenal singer with a great technique but what I like most about her is something that you mentioned, the fact that she enjoys her singing and also immerses herself in the song, Morissette is a very emotional singer who knows how captivate the public with her voice and charisma. As what Mr. Bernard Fernandez once said to a reactor like you, that you may as well been infected with the Mori-Virus. A peculiar and yet a pleasant strain. And it seems to have originated from the Wish Bus. Symptoms include chills/goosebumps, expression of shock and glee, elongated jaws and stank face. There is no known cure but to watch and see more of Morisette’s song for you to feel better cheers 😊
