Vocal Coach Reacts: EMMY RUSSELL, granddaughter of Country legend, Loretta Lynn, sings "Skinny"

Музыка

What a sweet, sweet person... with a sweet voice and beautiful songwriting, too. I loved what Emmy brought to this audition, even though she really needs to SHOW us what her voice is truly capable of.
I think it's great that the judges put her through, hoping that she will gain massive confidence and sing with ALL of her voice. This is her main challenge, in my opinion; a challenge that I hope she does conquer!

Ms. Lynn always had her family on stage with her and would let the family perform on stage but they had to work for it. She taught them to work for what they want. Her mom is a twin and they had a duo The Lynns for awhile but their mom needed them on the tour aftee their dad passed so they walked away from their record deal. The ranch is so beautiful and still ran by the family.

Not long ago, three young women from Bainbridge, Georgia began appearing on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media sites, singing country classics and songs they'd written themselves. They were sweet, they played beautifully, and their voices harmonized perfectly, despite not being powerful singers. Now, the Castelows are on tour. Someone, somewhere along the way began coaching them to not only be a lovely trio but to also bring forth the powerful performances that were hiding there all along. Your analysis and direction apply to voice actors like myself. Thank you.

I think once she gets past her fears, she will do very well. I can tell she's very nervous. That could be why she was talking in a lower tone. I hope she does very well. We need more decent good people in the business to make it big. My family has met Loretta and her sister, Crystal Gale. They are amazing beautiful people - genuine in every way. I love your reaction and your constructive critique. Subscribed. 🙂

She is soft spoken. I think there is a clip of her and tayla on a game show. She is loud there. Lol. Tayla brings it out of her.

She actually went in all natural. Took off her make up and just wanted to be herself.

I also have a light voice. It is true that my best voice is in the higher range and I have an easy head voice. However, I hate that the higher I go the more childlike my voice sounds. I really want information on how to get rid of that "baby" voice. I love to sing and have a natural ear but I don't like my baby voice. Especially in a time when the best singers have low, edgy powerful voices like Adele, Lauren Daigle etc.

I don't know why but she reminds me of a young maria mena xD Maybe she would sound good with that type of singing.

Very interesting... I looked up Maria Mena and can totally see where you're coming from. If Emmy can learn to energise her sound so it becomes bigger and more resonant, she could definitely sing in a pop style like Maria. However, I doubt that she would want to!

I think she's a weak vocalist and she wouldn't get a solo in my high school choir, let alone any other singing competition. I don't think she would have got for past the first eliminations and NBC's The voice. Jennifer Jeffries, I believe that's her name, her voice had such a tone and haunting quality to it. I feel like Amy took that girl spot who deserved it so much more and didn't have the country upbringing or the money. I'd love to see you react to one of her videos. Jennifer Jeffries. I think that's her name but she writes her own material and she is true. Something, soul, something from a bygone era. Haunting
