that is not arabic, that is Mongolian my dear. it is the sound when mongols invaded Damascus and to the gates of Croatia.
The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique, is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist! Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Actually, he began training at 5, with his grandmother walking him to the music academy every day. After that school, he continued studying and training until his formal education (at the university level) ended with his graduation just this past summer. And even since then, he trains for several hours every day. You know, the vocal cords are muscle, and must be exercised to maintain elasticity, and expand on his ability. During the time that he was preparing for Ogni Pietra, for which he needed to extend his lower register, he actually extended his range, from just under 6 octaves, to one note OVER 6 octaves.

Thanks for identifying the exact name of the technique he uses. I believe it is known more generally as glottal stop or glottal catch, employed by many Central Asian and Middle Eastern folk music performers. I believe even Alpine peoples yodeling utilizes a similar technique.
I actually first heard Dimash for the first time watching your reaction video of SOS.

What I find so impressive - and almost humbling - is the degree of faith and commitment his parents and close family had in little Dimash when they had realized his gift early on and dedicated themselves to leading this amazing human being through decades of training, never wavering in their support, never doubting his ability to eventually blossom into this phenomenal artist and performer. That, just as much as what he can do now as a result of all this hard work and dedication, is what cannot help but restore one's faith in the greatness of the human potential. Hugely inspiring..!!!

He's a magician with his vocal chords. It shows that you don't have to be a big person to have a big voice. Sinful Passion is so addictive, I could listen to him sing this song all day, every day.

LITERALLY WHAT I THINK OF HIM. he is like a magician to me. since the very first time i've heard his voice (where i cried btw bc i was so overwhelmed) i thought.. he totally gives off "magician".
I discovered Dimash in January, and I am addicted to his music now. I can listen to the same song 20 times over.
Welcome into Dimash s’world who leaves you speechless. Pure beauty. I wrote him on his KZread channel, thank you Dimash from the bottom of my heart 💖. Thanks from Belgium 🇧🇪
He is someone I'd pay the bucks to watch live.. ❤️ Thank you for reacting to Dimash :) please check out his performance of Love of the Tired Swans. It's beautiful :) he truly is a virtuoso vocalist.

yes I do hope that you react to this video with captions its beautiful
This was a fabulous reaction to Dimash . Love this gorgeous song. I'm not trained in music but the first time I heard him I knew I was listening to something very very special. I am hooked on his singing and way of delivering these songs are brilliant , genius. I am now listening to Operas which never in my life that would happen in all my 66 years on the earth . I just can't get enough of Dimash !!! This obsession can't be health !
the only insights you will have from vocal coaches on dimash will be from the first reaction, because from the second all you will get will be "hmmmm beautiful, ohhhh nice, wow oh my god, yes, amazing", just like the rest of us lol
It was an AMAZING performance! I KNEW you would enjoy it! In my opinion, his best to date... thank you Tara!😀
He is just too wonderful to contemplate! He is the complete package!
Do you know what added beauty to Dimash's voice? it's you💔 You are like one of the medieval princesses .. God bless you
Just so you know if you didn't, Dimash holds the record for the highest note sung in a live performance D8

@@drzewtuniema Yeah both are good, but Kremlin is better, both in spectacle and also always Dimash to you use the larger stage better. Dimash's voice needs a large space to come close to containing it. ;-)

Thank you a lot Tara!!! Another Dimash video love it❤❤❤❤ there's no words that could describe how incredibly he is! Is not just his music, he as a person has such a pure and beautiful soul and we can feel it through his music. Hi don't just sing, he lives the music, he feel it! He tells a story. He sings from his soul to ours! I love him so much!❤💞💞💞
Tara, You are so awesome, wonderful, and so caring. Thank you so much for being YOU. If I were younger than I am I would definitely take your courses but at 75 I truly missed out not knowing your expertise before now. Please continue to do what you do. Thank you.
Dimash has literally connected all 5 registers seamlessly in the world....Amazing...Defying all odds!!!
more than the high note, I'm impressed by the how LONG his melismatic phrase just AFTER that is...all that BREATH control!!!
I love your reaction. Continue reaction to Dimash's performances please. Best regards beautiful girl.
4:24 I am of Asian decent. When I heard that part, I was like "omg...this is characteristic of folk music I've heard before from the people of the alps". I thought I've heard the end of it as if that wasn't impressive enough, but nope... Ohhh man...I might be right. His grandparents are of Kazakhs origin
Half the audience are cheering like crazy and the other half are rooted to the spot in total shock at what they just witnessed.
This guy gives me frikken chills every single time I hear him sing. Incredibly talented. I love your reaction, so genuine! Keep up the great videos!
The most incredible guy in the world. Thanks for reacting to him. 🌹
Thank you, Tara! I ❤️ watching and listening to you. Looking forward to your next Dimash reaction.
Absolutely love your reactions and vocal analyses!!! I was waiting for your reaction to this amazing, stunning song. Despite his incredible talent, Dimash is such a humble, kind hearted person. It is one of the reasons I love him so much. He always thanks the musicians and the audience after each performance.

YES finally more Dimash!!!!! been waiting for weeks and weeks checking every day MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love your reactions because I learn what he is doing and how he makes this music sound like he is inside you pulling you along with him. Please do more you do a great job for us that can't carry a note in a bucket LOL Love it. HELLO is a great song he did
The band accompanying Dimash in this performance is A'Studio, a Russian-based Kazakh band who originally sang Sinful Passion.
5:25 I feel like he's pulled my soul out of my body with that.
Dimash's vocal is even more amazing since he sang live (like always) during that event :)
Thanks for your greath reaction. Dimash is so good that he can even suprise vocal coaches. I think that you are a amazing vocal coach and a greath singer. So it's fun to see a talented person like you being suprised like that. Please check out his new song Love of tired swans. It's also a very good song. And Dimash calls his fans dears so now we can call you dear Tara. 👍👌🙌 (A vocal coach (Rebecca) did go to his concert in London and told that hearing him live is even a lot better.)

I would like to see you react to something your not familiar with. Like Queensryche's - Take Hold of the Flame. I find vocalist Geoff Tate to be one the very best vocalists ever to sing in a traditional heavy metal band.
Thank you so much for introducing this man to a lot of us!!! He is most definitely my favorite male vocalist EVER
I see you go into the same orbit as me. He just takes me to a totally new place. Shivers and chills. Love this guy🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 May he reign forever🤩🤩🤩🤩
His vocal range it's insane, but what it makes me crazy it's the quality of any note.
You are such a refreshing breath of air whenever I watch your videos! You are me reacting to this performance but you have all the technical knowledge and are able to teach it so understandably. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My ears👂👂 are bleeding🔴 from pure joy.😀
4:20 - END: YES, GIRL!!! This was the song that solidified my status as a Dear! 😍😍😍😍😍 #DEAR4DIMASH4LIFE
You are the best...thank you so much...Dimash is art and something beyond that..Unreal is one of the Word..
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the band backing him, A` Studio, were the ones who originally wrote and performed the song Sinful Passion. Thank you for your lovely and insightful reactions and breakdowns of these videos. So many so-called vocal coaches dismiss his talent and try to 'prove' that he lip-syncs or uses computers to achieve the remarkable sounds he can make.
One thing he is the best..he know wht he doing very well..god bless him where ever he at right now..amen I wana hear once more again..
I knew you would like that performance! It's so out of this world it's unbelievable... Truly unbelievable. I've listened to it probably a hundred times or more and still get chills all over. 😜❤️😊👍😍😘🥰🤩
Next step - the Confessa+The Diva Dance song... Love you Tara, keep up the great work.
You are such a great youtuber. Your reaction videos are amazing. You really know your stuff and I am happy to hear you react to Dimash. You know talent when you see / hear it. I appreciate that. Thanks so much for your vids. Pls take care.
I've watched Dimash's videos here and there but today is the first time I heard this particular song. I try not to dive to deep to quickly into a singers work hoping to appreciate it and take in all emotions. Just when I thought it can't get any better I find this song and my mind is blown. He demands you to release your self to him and lend him the ability to affect your soul. That is my reaction when watching his videos. He almost commands you drop all walls and feel what he is trying to convey. Dimash is GOAT. (Greatest Of All Time)
Dimash! Just when you think that man cant surprise or shock you anymore...
Thank you so much for the analisis!!! I love your videos!!! 😍 Sinfull Pasión his one of the best performances ever from Dimash! You need to analise “Love of Tired Swans”, you will love too!!!
you notice that in the end he sings with only one breath
