Angelina is the best singer i have ever experienced. Never heard such a good voice.

Angelina’s voice is so rich and distinctive that she needs only very basic accompaniment, anything else is a distraction. My favourite performances are the ones where she is backed by just guitar or piano. Thank you for your reaction.

While I agree with you, I think it is important that she gives us the performances with a band if for no other reason than variety. She does so well in both settings and some of her most impressive performances were with a band such as "I Put a Spell On You," and "Feeling Good". I would argue that something would have been lost if you took the band away.

I have literally heard the comments of at least 12 different vocal instructors comment on her use of her jaw and they have all said that there's nothing dangerous or wrong going on there. Listening to you you really do seem to be especially confident in your own expertise as backed up by the prominently displayed accolades and awards you have framed behind you. Rest assured when Angelina does anything in her performances it is calculated and very conscious. She is a master at singing in every aspect. It is Angelina and her performance alone that warrant a thumbs up here.

Since becoming a Angelina angel, I have done my best to introduce Angelina to new people. On KZread, I began by enticing reaction channels to feature Angelina with good success and thank each reaction channel as they do introduce new people to the artist they feature. About a year ago, Angelina's team told us angels they believed reactions were hurting Angelina's analytics. There is some logic that if angels are watching reaction videos then they have less time to watch the original video. Forth, she has enjoyed the benefit and blessing of having the best of everything all along the way. Her family, the means and everything else around her has provided every need imaginable. At 16 and still a child in school, she is getting all of the quality guidance every one of her fans could hope for. By every measurement Angelina is happy and living her dream. Thank you to mom, grandma, the rest of the family and all of the pros around her. Please keep her safe. The world loves Angelina.

At her last concert on July 10th 2022 in Norway, when Angelina told why she sings this song and dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani (her grandma couldn't accompany Angelina on the trip to Norway and both were very sad). I understand this song completely differently whenever I hear the line "Don't you dare walk away from me" now. 💯 *AJ* 💯

FYI The setting has appeared in 3 of her songs. It is an antique store located in LA, which belongs to a family friend. The first was "My Funny Valentine" released on Valentine's Day 2022. The second was "Suspicious Minds", and the third is this "I Have Nothing" release.

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. It's actually, next year, depending when she is planning to go Main Stream, is when it will be released. Not sure if she is going Main Stream at 17, then Album will drop January or February. If she plans to wait until she is 18, it will drop in December, right before her 18th. This is my opinion and on a business sense and because she has already finished school and has really been socializing with a lot of big famous celebrities, it's going to happen in January or February next year. Only time will tell, no matter when, I can hardly wait, for it is going to be amazing, God Bless!

What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 16 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time. I just listened to Jessie J's version of this song, and she is a dynamic vocalist, but I did not get chills, or loss of breath like I do on each of Angelina Jordans performances.

Your point about AJ's breath is so true -- I truly believe that she actually breaths on pitch. Your comparisons to Adele and Amy are of course spot on, and when AJ begins releasing lots of her own songs I think she will quickly become known at that level.

Yes, Angelina’s breaths are absolutely an integral part of her singing. Obviously every detail matters to her. At age 12+\- she got a remarkably sensitive microphone for her birthday. I can only imagine how dissatisfied she had been previously to put so much effort into the details only to have them lost by the equipment.

Nice comment, still I recommend to listen to more of her songs. I’m a fool to want you, It’s a man’s world, What a difference a day makes, are a few to mention. She surely has thousands voices and yet when you don’t look at her you still can hear that it’s Angelina who is singing. Her style is amazing. In my opinion (and a lot of other people) is she the best jazz singer of this time. And she is still sixteen. These other songs I mentioned she was 11-13 years old. Realy she is something absolutely incredible. And don’t forget that she arranged all of her own and the cover songs herself. Amazing.

This performance is beyond belief, the cinemaphotography, the ART, and this time we get to savor over 4 minutes of total bliss, no one is capable of doing this song justice like Angelina Jordan. David Foster and Linda Thompson, who co-wrote this ballad for Whitney Houston would be blown away by this performance.

@@robertsilva631 We have discussed this before; I am well aware the David Foster knows of Angelina Jordan. He flew into Norway many years ago in his private jet and tried to get AJ's family to sign a contract, but they did not like the terms of the contract, and they turned him down.

Someone mentioned in a comment the other day after seeing her sing this version of this song that we should not forget that Whitney was 28 when she sang this song. Angelina is 16 and not turning 17 until January of next year. Big difference there. Thanks for your reaction. I heard what you said about the jaw and I'll have to look at this or any of her recent songs again .. because I always feel that she allows emotion to move her head back as she sings as a part of expression but I don't necessarily see tension with that. I may be wrong and I will check it out because one of the most glorious things about Angelina is how relaxed her entire being is when she sings .. and I've always felt, as I just said .. that the head back is emotion rather than the tension I see with Ariana Grande. I'll check it out because I agree with you that tension can affect so much .. and not in the way that is good.

Beauty reaction :) Always preferred the Jaw movements on riffs and runs, I bet it is very taxing and difficult, but it seems to add to the emoting and control, two very important things. I liked the live version just as much, but you are totally correct, using a mic for windy weather and balancing the sound with a live band obviously has sound quality difficulties. Love that she uses her breath as another part of her performances instead of editing it out. Will serve her very well and always seemed too.

Think my favorite part of the breath, is it opens up options for her mic choices. Which she takes full advantage of. It will make live performances more seamless, she even uses it as a part of the rhythm or to sort of prepare for the technique of the start of the next word.

She changed the key to this song, but does it really matter as long as she has the ability to give each word, or phrase, meaning like no one else in this universe can. How can she evoke such emotion in each and every performance? Why do I get chills, or cry tears, or lose my breath when Angelina sing a song that I have experienced many times in the past without this happening? If this feeling only happened to me that would be ok, but it happens to billions of people. We play these videos of AJ over, and over again to get our high. I was a Whitney fan from the beginning of her career to her tragic end. Whitney was great, but Angelina at 16 is far better than Whitney ever was at making you feel each word, and phrase. AJ changes every cover to make if hers and far, far better than the original. AJ is the greatest STORYTELLING ARTEST I have ever experienced in my 75 years.

LOL, You can't be serious. Are you scared AJ fans will get their pitchforks after you??? With that said, I like her tone better than Whitney's AT SIXTEEN, but WH at 16 had perfect diction and conquered the high notes didn't just reach them. But let's see how AJ does in her 20s.

Thank you for your reaction. I must say I have only watched your Angelina videos, but with this one I really feel your personality and authenticity coming through, which is a pleasure. Frankly, this is not my favourite song, and while I know Angelina has been working on it since she was a toddler it just doesn't affect me the way most of her performances do. I suspect she will continue to refine it anyway. I literally would listen to her sing the phone book so I shouldn't complain!

I understand the comparisons to Amy Whinehouse, Adele and others because those are the vocalists that Angelina loves and respects the most. We hear glimpses of every artist she listened to, past and present. When Angelina sings she channels the best of those artists styles and vocal characteristics. Her unique vocal acuity is comprised of a combination of all of them.

Angelina likes to test herself by covering classic performances from other artists. I think she's done about as well as she can on this one, with the voice God gave her. One of the reasons it worked so well for Whitney Houston is that the song was specifically written for her by David Foster. If a songwriter with that depth of talent writes specifically for Angelina's range and ability, we'll see something really spectacular.

Angelina is an incredible singer. May I present another fantastic singer? 伊卉儿Katty. She has the voice of an Angel. She is so good I had to make a KZread channel with her music. She sings in Chinese so people won't get the lyrics. But if they just sit back, relax and adjust to her wavelength after a while they will get what it is all about. -Not vocal fireworks, but handling of the softest of tones. If you want to present to the world a unique young artist that "no-one" ever heard here is the chance to do it.

Hello Tania. This video proves Angelina is one high note away from duplicating Whitney. You know which one. At sixteen? Incredible. Of course, Angelina sings in a lower key and her vibrato is a different animal, but as far as power and maturity of voice, Angelina's already there. I'm looking forward to her rendition at eighteen. Very enjoyable reaction. I don't know if Angelina is working on changing some habits that voice coaches consider flaws in her technique. I would be surprised if she isn't, she has always strived to get better.

Personally I hope that you, as a singer and voice teacher, like a capella, because you seem to never have reacted to any Wise Guys(disbanded), Maybebop, Pentatonix, Voiceplay or Home Free, just to name some groups. Exceptionally good singers with solo projects thereof are: Geoff Castellucci(Voiceplay), Tim Foust(Home Free) (both Basso Profundo with 5 octaves of range) and Austin Brown(Home Free high tenor). They are unbelievably skilled and worth a try.

Excellent reaction and breakdown! I don't know if you are aware on her live performance she had jet lag from flying in just 9 hours previous to the concert. Also she had finished performing the song a couple minutes prior, but because technical problems she was asked to sing it again, remember, she is 16. Makes it even more impressive, plus with that bad hair style, sure didn't help, God Bless!

Danke für dieses Video! Es wäre etwas schade gewesen, wenn es nur bei deiner Reaktion auf die TV-Version zu diesem Song geblieben wäre. Denn die Umstände für diesen TV-Auftritt waren alles andere als günstig gewesen. Jetlag, Wind, technische Probleme, wiederholter Auftritt usw. Dort konnte Angelina ihr volles Potential nicht entfalten. Vermutlich hat sie deshalb auch sehr rasch ihre Studio-Version nachgeschoben, um dem suboptimalen TV-Auftritt eine Alternative an die Seite zu stellen. Was die Publikumsreaktionen betrifft, so möchte ich das Publikum ein bißchen in Schutz nehmen. Zum einen hatten die Leute gerade schon eine erste Version des Songs von Angelina gehört und wurden jetzt dabei gefilmt, wie sie Minuten später auf eine zweite Darbietung desselben Songs reagierten. Da war die ursprüngliche Begeisterung vielleicht schon nicht mehr ganz so elektrisierend. Zum anderen ist das Format "Allsang pa Grensen" aber auch generell weniger ein klassisches Konzert, sondern ein gemütliches, familiäres Event zum Mitsingen.

I can't help but wonder if she started moving her jaw as a visual cue that she's actually singing in her videos since she's been accused of lip syncing before.... because she didn't do the jaw moving before.

I don’t know if you heard about this, but the video which stuck on KZread was the second of a one after the other doublet. The first attempt she scrapped on camera, walked up on the dais and restarted immediately. I could hear slight fatigue on the second in comparison to the initial attempt. I wonder if giving your best wears specific muscles. I don’t know. I suspect the big breakout has probably been dampened by her family and manager. There’s observable evidence that she has been sheltered from the frenetic, grown up music industry. They are letting her grow up first. She selfied at a grown up birthday party with several celebrity performers, but that is new. Maybe she went with a discrete chaperone. I hope to God she is directing herself patterned more after Emma Watson than Amy Winehouse, not the same art form, obviously, but I love this gal-child so much! I hope she can break the music/drugs/alcohol cliché. If anyone can, it will be she.

Tania, that live version; had technical issues,that was her 2nd version. The first wasn't recorded, and she had to sing the song again. This is what was reported.

Please show me 1 just 1 video where Whitney Houston sings this song straight through just like on the album... Do the one take Live or studio, Or maybe even 2 takes in a studio. I do not think you will find one straight through Whitney live rent is the live rendition of this song.. It will most likely have a big pregnant pause before she goes for the big part.. And it's probably not for drama build it is probably social probably so she can muster up the breath and dynamics plan to make a go of it. When Angelina Jordan sang the song live in Norway back in July, She had to sing it twice in a row because the TV filming crew did not get the right imagery imagery on the 1st take... She had about a 60 to 90 second break in between. The one that has been shown is the 2nd take.

Another aspect of this matter is the fact that Whitney Houston never sang this song live in the same key as in the studio recording (ending in the key of "G"). For live performances she lowered the key for 2 semitones to "F". Angelina sang the song in the "studio version key" of G at age 12, but we never saw Whitney doing such thing, we only know the result of some unknown studio magic on the "Bodyguard" soundtrack. Nowadays Angelina sings the song live ending in "E", that is just one semitone lower than Whitney'slive performances. And keep in mind that Whitney was a soprano and Angelina is a mezzo alto singer!

Your first reaction was of a performance for a TV show in Norway, and was staged and produced by the network. Angelina had only been in Norway a couple of days, and production messed up the first take and had her perform it again immediately after. Overall a stiff performance by a pro. The live performances following with a jazz combo were much better, culminated by an emotional performance dedicated to her grandma to close the last show. Angelina had control of the concerts, she was relaxed, and her genius shined through. If you ever get a chance to listen for fun, there are many fan cams of her performances, and I recommend the last concert at Kurbadhagen on 10 July. Thanks for the insightful analysis

This is a big song and even though Angelina can bring big when she needs to I don't think it's her style and I think she knows precisely what her style is. Think if you asked Billie Holliday to sing this song were she alive today. Most singers like Billie Holiday can either do intimate classic jazz tunes like Gloomy Sunday or Broadway style "show stoppers" like I Have Nothing. But Angelina can do both. That in itself is mind blowing and to do it at this age is almost unthinkable but I wonder if a cover like this is right for her style. Whitney Houston had that big brassy Broadway voice and so this song was a natural for her but could Houston have done Gloomy Sunday. I doubt it. Not that I'm knocking Whitney its just that she knew where her sweet spot was and knew what style of music was best suited for her. While I admire Angelina's cover here and her technique is very high level I hear some places where she seems to be going through the motions just to show the world that she do it but that her heart might not be in it. At her age, it seems like she's still coming to terms with her musical direction. Her early covers as a young child of classics like Fly Me To The Moon were, IMHO perfect but can you build a modern pop career around material like that? If Angelina wants to be the next Taylor Swift then I have a feeling we might not see her return to her former musical stomping grounds ala someone like Diane Krall, who is very much in the mold of a straight jazz singer. I would hate to see her become just another pop "diva" but hey that's her choice to make. That's just my take on her covers like this.

And obviously comparing her to Amy Whinehouse is perfectly fine. She is very influenced by her and many other very different greats. She has a few voices that sound a lot like Amy. Suppose us fans just get sick of the comparison sometimes, don't mind any critique of your thoughts. It's just a very common thought hahaha. There are many different sides of her that may remind you of someone else as well right. So picking one and commenting it comes across as being inexperienced with AJ, which is no crime.

I do remember the great Aurora writing a song about an Angelina Jordan troll who loves to put her down and yet no one cares. There are real problems in the world and yet he chooses to troll a 16 year old girl with his negative obsession. I think it was called Mr. Off his Rocker and she dedicated it to you! Du sagtest das A.J. sehr viel Bewegung im Unterkiefer hat um Runs usw. besser machen zu können. Doch da muss ich Dir leider vehement widersprechen. Ich habe jedes Video von A.J. gesehen, wir reden hier von mehr als 180. Natürlich bewegt sie auch ihrem Unterkiefer, aber oftmals wirkt das nur so, da sie grundsätzlich eine unsymetrische Mundform nutzt. In dieser starken Ausprägung hab ich dies bisher noch nicht wahrgenommen bei anderen. Allerdings ist es in meiner Meinung nach auch egal ob jeder Ton sitzt, manchmal ist ein (falscher) Ton das Tüpfelchen auf dem "I". Nobody is perfect, denn Perfekt ist kalt. Unfortunately I have to vehemently disagree with you. I've watched every video from A.J. seen, we're talking about more than 180 here. Of course, she also moves her lower jaw, but often it only seems that way because she basically uses an asymmetrical mouth shape. I have not yet noticed this in other people in this strong form. However, in my opinion it doesn't matter whether every note is right, sometimes a (wrong) note is the icing on the cake. Nobody is perfect, because perfect is cold.
