Ha ha, I too felt like she did the growl to save her self vocally, but she’s a pro and she made it look like it was just part of the emotional performance. It was beautiful.

It's coming next month!

This was nerves. This song should be placed later in her set when her voice has warmed up a bit more. I love her, but frankly, I can’t see her singing like this for too many more years. She’s an excellent vocal technician, but she takes too many risks to provide the emotions she wants to convey. On the one hand, she’s one of our greatest singers, but how long can she go on touring large venues belting out these big songs that people want to hear?

I wanna sing Adele’s new songs so badly, but it’s supperrrr hard for me as a contralto woman, and I can’t hit those hard soprano notes she tends to flip to. Any tips for contralto women who want to practice riffs and higher notes? I tried to get into your class but it was full and I didn’t have enough money, so these vids have been helping a whole lot, Audrey! 😆☺️

Soprano notes? The highest note in this song is a D5, that’s mezzo-soprano. Adele isn’t a soprano, I’d honestly class her as an alto (B2-Eb5)

When we talk about contraltos we're talking 'bout women, 'cause it's a feminine voice, so we don't need to say "contralto women". :)

I think that strained section "i had good intentions" is deliberately rough because in this part of the song I really imagine her pleading to the person she's speaking to, to believe her that her intentions were good. Sometimes when really want to express our emotion our voice is strained. It's also a bit like this on the record. I love it, it gives the song more context and makes it feel more like a story instead of just a song.

She was nervous for the first song of course she still sounded beautiful, but every other song she sang sounded fantastic to me

omg! Thank You!!! I had to wait FOREVER to get to my stylist because I wanted to get vaxed before I travel across country here in Thailand. I was in the south and my stylist is in the north. I'm sooooo happy to have it done again

Great reaction. I highly suggest you react to, in my humble opinion, the best cover of this beautifully written song by a female, Angelina Jordan. I hear sadness in Adele's version (rightfully so) while I hear hope in Angelina's version which makes sense for how she would interpret the lyrics into her own life.

I've heard reactors who prove they don't know what they're talking about view this and actually compliment the growly "around me". It was definitely a bad night for her. She had another live concert after this in the UK and sounded quite a bit better.

Idk why all vocal coaches keep on talking about Adele's vocal surgery. She herself has addressed that she just had minor surgery and it wasn't any major. She doesn't lie abt her surgery bt now all the vocal coaches just talk abt tht surgery. I have been hearing it since 9 yrs that she will lose her voice, her techniques are not good and all. Bt she is always coming back stronger

surgery on your vocal cords, one of the most delicate features of the body, is NEVER a small deal.

Adele wrote a beautiful song and has an amazing voice. You should check out Angelina jordens version of this song I don't think anyone can sing it better not even Adele.
