He looks more comfortable and with his Dears!.......even the music is different, you can listen the electric guitars! I really enjoy your reactions and analysis'. I agree with your sentiment that the first performance was more fitting to the song. The first performance was in front of about 500 spectators and the judges of the music competition. This performance here had thousands of people in attendance; a lot less intimate. By the way, I wish I could find all of your German reactions to Dimash and others in one place. I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany and all of my family still live there to this day. I emigrated to the United States 34 years ago. I want my mom to discover Dimash, as she appreciates good music and talent. She primarily listens to classical and opera. God bless

Dimash is going to need the help of his fans on Friday (and every Friday) in order to help him retain the #1 position in requests that he gained for the first time on the March 12 MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream when he replaced the act that had been holding that position for over six months!. All it takes is tuning in live when the program airs in one's time zone (5-8 pm on Fridays, New York time) and typing REQUEST DIMASH (no extra text or emojis) as many times as possible in the chat during the three hours of the program. Our votes succeeded in helping Dimash replace the act that had held the #1 position for six months! He deserves to be at the top and we need to keep him there! It's Dimash's hopes and dreams to become as successful in the western world as he is in his own country. This is an important and easy way we can give back to him some of all that he has given to us! Let's not let him down.

Обе версии хорошие. В первой версии (предположу что вы смотрели песню из конкурса Singer2017). Это песню он пел с почти больным горлом. Он потерял голос. Но китайские врачи и его друг сделали все, чтобы восстановить голос. Я так думаю, что он пел эту песню с большой осторожностью, во-вторых, это была конкурсная песня, и соответственно он волновался.Но эмоционально, обе версии хороши. Вторая версия - это концерт Бастау. Это первый сольный концерт Димаша на родине. Голос уже полностью восстановился, и песню он спел более мощно, и также эмоционально хорошо. Это как бы крик отчаяния - из-за потери родителей. Лично я на фонтан не обращал внимания. Это как бы часть декорации. Но посмотрите на освещение. Я больше смотрел и слушал как он выражал свои эмоции. Как-то так. Удачи и здоровья нам всем.

Thank you for your reaction, Susanna. I feel the same about this version. It is sung wonderfully with passion, but the effects are for a large stadium show, and many in the audience may not know the song or story, and can't understand the Chinese lyrics. My favourite will always be Dimash's version from 'The Singer'. It makes me cry every time, and especially as we also know the back story of Dimash being very sick that day with no voice, and he had just learned the Chinese lyrics that week. It makes his powerful performance that night all the more heart-breaking, and remarkable.

I agreed, not the audience fault, as most of them are not Chinese and do not understand the lyric or know of the back story. I do love both version, each in it's own way.

This is my favourite all time favourite performance by Dimash. The water fountains are not "positive" to me but express the POWER OF WATER, the devastating power of water. There is also a lof of red background, which is also appropriate to the song lyrics. It would be impossible for real water to look like a river canyon on stage, so the closest approximation is powerful fountains. The bigger question for me is it"s likely not actually sung live, because the total sound arrangement is too smooth. So I watch this like I watch a music video, not like a watch a live, and it still remains the best Dimash song version ever for me.

The child can either whisper or shout his conflicting feelings of loss and gratitude. These are both relatable ways to express powerful emotions. In this setting, Dimash tells the story with passion that resonates with the large audience present. In a smaller setting like the contest, he tells the story from a more intimate angle. I don't know what song he did before Daybreak, but the crowd was really hyped at the beginning. Dimash is such a storyteller and drew the audience into the story. That artistic side almost gets overlooked because of his astonishing technical ability. I love that both versions exist. The fact that he was sick in the other makes it very touching - it reflects the vulnerability of the orphan, which was not lost on the audience. Technically this one is clearly superior. It's almost beside the point, I think.

Se trata de una canción que expresa a un niño desesperado por la situación terrible en la que perdió a sus padres y su propio sentimiento, quizás, de culpa; Dimash muestra esa desesperación en su canto pero...TIENE UD RAZÓN, el escenario y las aguas intermitentes hacia arriba son más bien festivas y no concuerdan con el desgarro interior de un niño que canta a través de Dimash Saludos!

Thank you. I love this performance and Dimash's singing. It is dramatic and heart wrenching. He goes into the voice of the child and by the end you feel his devastation. I feel that the water sets the scene of the place of the accident. Dimash gave all to this and his vocals were incredible.

One is a tiny TV theatre and the other a massive stadium. The production can't possibly be the same. The fans cheering at the start are Chinese and excited because the song is in Mandarin. The water falls down when the child is hopeless. A large number of the people don't know what the song is about so why would they be sad and demure. All the hear is a fantastic voice. I don't enjoy the first version, knowing what he went through to get there. Anxiety and pain while singing takes away the joy for me.

With Daybreak on the Singer Dimash caught my heart. Although he was sick, evtl. because he was sick it was so emotional and impressive. He embodied this little boy who lost his parents. In the second version, he sang perfectly, passionate, emotional with crazy runs, so it`s extraordinary and unique, one of the best performances existing. But the singer version is the more emotional one for me.

He was sick on first version, he had to have throat treatment and was told he could not do high notes. I like this version because he had full use of his voice. I agree with the background being not best.

Ich mag beide Versionen. Die Singer-Version ist beeindruckender, weil er dort heißer war. Er musste vorher ins Krankenhaus und Spritzen bekommen hat, um überhaupt singen zu können. (Gloria Wu Chanel). Heute wurde ein neuer Song auf seinem Kanal veröffentlicht. Immer noch nett, aber nicht so ganz mein Fall.Ich hoffe, seine Bemühungen in Amerika bekannt zu werden, zerstört nicht seine Originalität. Und das sein Traum kein Alptraum wird. I read someone commented in another video that the water represented the falls that were in the scenery when the cablecar fell.

The water is also red at the most tragic lines... Like the Bastau version more, the Singer version is exactly for competition to me...

Second Version. To me , it tells the story. First one he was sick. You can hear it in his voice.

It is true that this song is a very sad, painful one, being about the loss of the parents of a very young child, so I think it was the approach to The Singer, now I think Dimash put more emphasis on the other side of the problem, what they did parents, have tried and managed to save his life, is what parents everywhere do, given why they do it because they love the child and want what is best for him, and their ultimate satisfaction is when their trust does not is deceived, when the child proves strong and moves on, it is the focus on the future ! This show and the scenography try to support this point of view, and in my opinion it really succeeds ! It is probably a matter of personal choice or even an option dictated by the current state of mind, what is certain is that in terms of vocal qualities present is superior to the version from The Singer!

She uses the flag to show that she is speaking English in this version. She does other reactions in German.

I like the original singers version better.its nit because of technicalwise but the emotionalwise.

this version is way better...but if u focusing on story u r right..the mood of background effects n power of voice dnt match ..needs to be quieter
