Can you imagine her thinking back as that young child knowing that her mother just threw her out in the streets after an unsuccessful trying to drown her, cold, alone and a broken collarbone. She is such a precious gift to all who hear and appreciate her beautiful voice🙏🏼. Wow!

I am serious annoyed when voice coaches feel a need to constantly break up a song to add more or less qualified comments. Truth be told, you are the only person reacting to Diana who do not detract from her performance but actually enhance it. I learn so much more from you than most other vocal coaches.

I don't understand a word she's singing. Why does this send chills up my spine?

"She channels this energy and draws it all in", "she can naturally express it with so much intensity on stage". That is a very nice and analytic way to put it. My thought would be that almost all of Diana Ankudinovas's performances are more like a controlled explosion, like the kind used to bring down buildings. Once she slips into the character she is playing, she harnesses that character's feelings, emotions, and energy and holds them. Diana then lights a fuse that is timed to go BOOM at the appropriate time!

I am not sure single is the correct way to put that into English - my comprehension (from the Russian) is that she is alone ( because of the без тебя)- that does not necessarily imply being single, just alone and lonely. The translation of the song is great (I am a Russian speaking Englishman) but, please, as I always teach my students - articles and tenses! But yes, the translation covers the emotion of this song quite beautifully.

Let me remind you that Blizzard is a repertoire song by a fairly adult artist -Grigory Leps. In my opinion, sorry, of course, such emotions are hardly inherent in a 15-year-old girl, but Diana brilliantly conveyed them. SORRY.

The story of 'Blizzard' ... it's about a girl who asks for the snow to cover (bury) her and her house because the one she loves is gone. That's why she's expressing sadness here. (And, boy, is she *good* at it!)

Вам же медведи с детства по ушам топчут, поэтому для русских все то фуфло, что по ТВ и радио вам там крутят, считается классной музыкой, плохопоющая космонавтка Гагарина, раскрученная Фадеевым через постель, - шикарной певицей, а бубнящий себе под нос нетрадиционной ориентации Цой, какую-то с бессмысленым текстом "Кукушку", считается гением рок музыки. "Любят в России всякое говно!", -- пел в свое время Шнур и был прав, и сам же сочинял такое же гавно. 🤣

Вот именно, Элизабет, вот именно! Я долго и несколько раз размышлял по-поводу того, каким образом нас очаровывает и завораживает при исполнении песен Диана. И вот вы навели на мысль, именно умением работать с энергией! Диана, при исполнении как бы собирает её и в определенный момент выплескивает вместе с пением и отчётливыми жестами свободной руки, всего тела, мимикой лица и проницательным взглядом. Слушатель, при этом, ощущает прилив сил и вдохновения, проносятся мурашки по всему телу, ощущения удивительные и непередаваемые! Более отчётливо ощущается при исполнении этой композиции и особенно "Реченьки". Да и Диана сама говорила, что ей тяжело исполнять эти композиции, так как ей нужен особый настрой на них и они очень энергозатратны! То есть получается, Диана, может спеть песню, показав свои вокальные способности, а может спеть, использовав впридачу такое умение, исполнение несёт мощную положительную энергетику и необыкновенную красоту, оказывая более сильное влияние на слушателя. Естественно, после этого сидишь в шоке, разинув рот и не понимая как так и что это было и как такое вообще возможно, потом десятки раз переслушиваешь, пытаешься вникнуть в детали, а тут оказывается дело-то в другом, откуда такая невероятная мощь исполнения у Дианы? Конечно она родилась такой, с очень сильной энергетикой, ещё и со временем научилась управлять ею, насколько она сильно влияет на слушателей со всех стран и национальностей, да и возрастов тоже, только диву даёшься, а что будет дальше, ведь ей только 17 лет?! Вот интересно, что думает по этому поводу сама Диана и есть-ли ещё вокалисты, которые обладают такой же способностью или подобным умением?

Да есть это я. Только у Дианы положительная энергетика её хочется слушать и слушать, а у меня отрицательная. Когда мне плохо я начинаю петь и тогда всем становится плохо.

Another great performance from our favourite singer, with yet another lovely review from you, Elizabeth. If you haven't already heard 'Oh Darling' performed by Diana at age ten then give yourself and us a treat please.

May I add a few comments? I have watched this many times to the conclusion and I can add what some of the judges said. The one who buzzed first said he had goosebumps for most of the song and he said what was so marvellous was how Diana allows the sounds, every note and nuance, to emanate from her body with such emotion - he concluded that she was there so that others like him who know something of the "business" might actually learn from her as they offer to help her and that she is, indeed, not of this planet, The blonde woman, Diana Arbenina, herself a well known artist was struck , for a while, not knowing exactly where she was; that Diana's gift is truly God-given, She further wondered how a 15 year old could give such a performance such that she, who is over 40, would experience the same emotions from the song as Diana herself clearly was doing. As for your comments about Yolka, another singer, she was saying "where is it (the sound) coming from? But, yes definitely from the heart!! Thank you again for an insightful reaction - I await each one with keen anticipation.

Now Diana is 17. In the interview a few days ago, she said that she was working on getting her high notes back. Your voice is 2 tones lower after the voice break. I also love the song "Tomorrow is a lie" that she performs with Igor Krutoy. .... and where is your beautiful video? I miss it.

Listening to Diana takes me back to my childhood. When I was scared my mother would hold me tight and whisper to me, and then give me words of reassurance. The resonance in her voice was the same as my mothers when my ear pressed against my mother chest. It sounds familar, it takes me back to happier times, I feel safe. One of the most fearless singers /performers I have ever seen. Confident, committed, and in character while telling a story.

Thanks Elizabeth your analysis and reaction on this performance. Imo "Derniere Dance" and "Wicked Game" would be better for your next visit on our beloved girl. The song "Vibes" also shows some more mainstream aspect of her in the studio.

I would definitely take a look at In The Sky, she published it 5 days ago and it is an original, it has had a strong response, probably clip 500k today, sublime vocal by Diana.

This performance made me cry every time, I either get goosebumps, chills, get spellbound, feel embraced and captivated by her voice every time. But this time, she made me cry twice 💖 I just love her, her spirit, talent, bravery and gift!

Whoah, cool!! Thanks for getting the word out, and letting me know too! FYI, I also speak French. :-D I lived in Rouen for a year when I was 18, and returned later to sing at Bordeaux Opera. It’s actually my favorite language to sing in, probably because I worked so hard while at the conservatory to make my French easily understood in both singing and speaking. ❤️

p. s by the way, the singer IOLKA is also called as you-Elizabeth, like you, she is a very charismatic and emotional girl who loves music very much,very kind and as bright as you show your emotions..this is an amazing coincidence..

That is exactly how I would have put it. Perhaps you can help me - I have looked in many dictionaries and cannot find a sensible answer. When Margulies says "не бронзовей пожаулуйста" - what does he actually mean? Thanking you in advance.
