The man in the back row who stood up putting his hands to his face is Russian Supersoprano Anna Netrebko's husband. He is also an operatic tenor. If such a man, with years of experience on the opera stages of the world could be affected to such a degree by Diana, is it any wonder that she can affect the rest of us so deeply.

The Perfect Being, God, talks to us through Diana. Or, using the Sumerian history, this is how I imagine the Annunaki Women would sound upon returning to Earth! They are taller than us, have longer lifespans, much more intelligent, and their voice should reflect this type of perfection too.

I imagine this must feel like one of the closest experiences to being within the presence of a higher power in physical form. If music has ever had the power to form entire religions before, throughout human history, or atleast become the renaissance backdrop at its very foundation, then I can only believe Diana's voice would be giving birth to a whole new kind of otherworldly divine spark within all the proud Russians and worldwide witnesses who hear her today and in the future. Just to be clear, I'm simply saying that it's easy to see how Old Norse chants, Tibetan throat singing, Christian prayer hymns, Mediaval Latin choir, New Zealand's Haka, Arabic and Aramaic lullabies, Native American war-chanting and all the other amazing and diverse sounds ranging on the spectrum of music, yet are clearly distant cousins connected at the roots, all lend credence to the power of sound, and its ability to connect people to something greater, by transfixing their attention and transforming their perception. Dynamic vibrational frequencies that, when sung in complex arrangements and methods, become incredibly powerful and deeply personal while singing or listening alone, yet completely amplified in strength when sung or listened to in unison. Try to imagine anything without the sense of sound enhancing it. I really feel for deaf people and what they miss out on. I think I feel even worse for those who once could hear, but have now lost all audible function, disconnected to the whole world contained within the realm of sound that they once had full access to. If I was stuck with the choice of losing either my sight or my hearing, I know which I'd have to opt for in a heartbeat. Music is the heartbeat of life. Anyway, to bring it back to your message, I struggle to comprehend what it would be like to hear Diana live. Must be very surreal for those who have. Unexpected and odd rant now over. Cheers for reading.

As a child, Diana was beaten by her parents and was placed in an orphanage. She was then adopted by a woman who gave her affection and care. I believe that this is the reason why Diana has grown into such a strong and emotional person. Memories of the past mixed with other factors gave such a rattling mixture, making Diana so strong. She practices music every day for many hours. Diana's talent cannot be overestimated, it's a colossal job. I want to express my gratitude to all the bloggers who do their reviews on Diana. She can't help falling in love with music because it's the one thing that will never leave her. It'll never hurt her, it'll always be there to comfort her, excite her, lift her up, bring her down. Ok…first time hearing Diana Ankudinova, and now I’m a fan! It so refreshing to find a new vocalist/artist that isn’t doing that same “meow-meow” singing style that seems to be en-Vogue these days…just like how everyone had to add the Eddie Vedder “yarl” to their vocal style back in the ‘90’s. That vocal style like Billie Eilish was novel at first, but I’m starting to get burnt out on that. Go Diana Ankudinova!

To me the Elvis version sounds like a sweet "No matter what you do or anyone says I can't help falling in love with you." sentiment. Diana's is more in the Chris Issac "Wicked Game" feeling of "I really don't want to cause it's a horrible idea but I can't help falling in love with you."

Not Elvis song ! This is Tommee Profitt's version. ORIGINAL SONG is French ! Joan Baez sings in 1960 french/english, My grandmother sang this song in French in 1920. Elvis Presley adapted the melody and he changed the words "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" in the 1961 movie, Blue Hawaii. Elvis is one of many people who have covered this song ! ORIGINAL SONG is French ! It's a romance "PLAISIR D'AMOUR". Music composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Egide Martini. It is taken from a short story by Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian, Célestine, which appears in his collection "Les Nouvelles de M. de Florian" published in 1784. Queen Marie-Antoinette, king Louis XVI wife, in France, sang this song at the Château de Versailles before the Revolution!

This iteration feels like it could be talking about a forbidden love, or more so, an obsession. Being in love with someone you inherently don't want to actually love, but do despite what's best for you. As though falling in love is dooming rather than enlightening, like watching a storm approaching that you can't help but move towards knowing things are never going to end well, but you're unable to go any other way.

Elvis sang about his grandmother and Diana, I think, sings about her life. The first verse is dark - it's about the years she lived with her mother, who drank and beat Diana. The second verse is lighter, more fragile - it's the period when Diana found a second family that loved her. And ending the song openly and confidently is Diana today.

I feel the same as essentially everyone about her voice- she doesn’t sound like anyone else at all, and there is no one else who sounds quite like her, period. So I’ve spent this autumn and now into winter checking out reaction videos to her various performances. And I would classify this as one of the better ones I’ve seen, of an amazing rendition that is always going to astound me.

I also awaited your voice in this conversation, Elizabeth. But I feel disappointment from you in your struggle to find a place for this in Diana's oeuvre. Please watch again the video for Wicked Game. "I don't want to fall in love..." leading to "I can't help falling in love..." Given the unusual and horrible trauma of her early childhood, I think we can situate these feelings in her somewhere and expect that they will not have fully been dealt with for a lifetime. She will be revisiting these throughout her career. She is a brilliant diamond.

👉 Elisabeth-Sunshine, I am so happy that you are analyzing Diana's singing again after such a long time. Maybe Dimash again. So much happened that year, so many new songs ... and each one a surprise. Diana sang this Elvis Presley song in the first episode of the 'Шоумаскгоон' (ShowMASKgoon) competition. Diana is the youngest participant (18 ys) and with her first song she tore the participants and viewers from their seats. 9 winners of the previous shows 'The Mask', 'Superstar' and 'Du bist Super' take part in this new format and they have to sing in 9 categorys: Folk-Hit, Song at the End of the 20th Century, Soviet Song, Pop-Hit, Song of your Choice, New Music, Song from Cartoon or Film, Rock-Hit, Grammy The man who jumps up is the famous opera singer Yusif Eyvazov and husband of the world-well known opera singer Anna Netrebko. He is a guest of honor and representative of the operatic genre in this first episode of the competition. Those competitors have to evaluate each other and they have praised Diana in the highest tones: “Diana has no competition on the show, she amazes with her talent, it is impossible to tear yourself away from her, you want to listen endlessly, they have tears in their eyes and are even afraid to blink”. 8 out of 9 participants (Diana cannot give herself any points) gave Diana the highest number of points (9). She won the first episode. I'm looking forward to the next episode, next saturday. * Original (dark version): Can't Help Falling in Love feat. brooke - Tommee Profitt - kzread.info/dash/bejne/gniW0ceKlqTZp9o.html * Whole Show Шоумаскгоон/ ShowMASKgoon - Episode 1, Sept, 25. - kzread.info/dash/bejne/nKGrk7Cfe6Wumaw.html 🌼🇩🇪

But I love artists like her that at times tempers their voices at times rather than going full out / flexing their technique to its fullest potensial. There are parts in this song where she could easily gone full Hulk level of power in her voice, but instead she tempers her voice and slowly builds up to a power crescendo at the end which blows away any competition.

When Diana goes epic we tremble.... Mesmerizing, bewitching, magical, trully astonishing. She can channel enormous energies, grab our attention and take us to her world. Hope there will be similar songs among the *other 8 categories* .... (see below*). It's good to see how talent shines when given opportunity in professional enviroment. She already trained her dramatic contralto voice even further at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow where she studies, yet she is still super young (18), and personal experience cannot be exchanged with learning. So in this way it is good she can experience so many cool performances first hand, live, inspired, and also singing 9 songs from different genres will be challenging but rewarding in the long term. Some details of this performance: The ShowMaskGoon is a new TV show on Russian NTV channel, every saturday (3 episodes left, 6th already aired), where best/winners of 3 music shows (The Mask, You are Super, Superstar) perform, and vote giving 2 to 9 points to each other at every episode's end. So those sitting up there are the other singers, Diana sits with them when others perform. Plus the guest star of each episode, this time it was Yusif Eyvazov (opera singer, tenor, he stood up during the performance). They got only one 9 point, one 8 point, etc. So they are forced to give 2 points to someone, and they wont vote for themselves. She got 7x 9 points, 1x 8 points this round. The guest star of this episode gave 1 point to everyone equally = 72 total. In each round, the participants will be offered nine topics: for example, one will perform a folk song, the second - a song by a Grammy award winner, the third - a rock hit , etc. " The nine categories* are: "People's Hit", "Song of the End of the 20th Century", "Soviet Song", "Hit from Every Iron", "Song of Your Choice", "Modern Music", "Song from a Movie or Cartoon", "Rock Hit" and "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates". This song in this first show is for the last category "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates". I've heard many music in my life, I sing along all over the world. I have seen a lot of concert halls and people, orchestra and musicians.... ....This girl got just an incredible talent hidden inside, and may God give that this talent gets into good hands, people who can do with it what she deserves in the future which Diana herself deserves." Diana's version feels stormy to me, with flashes of light on the stage reminding me of lightning and her thunderous voice. The electric connection of love carries a level of danger and fear. I'm guessing that after the betrayal of her birth mother, she may have felt the fear of loving anyone, but ultimately she couldn't help but love again. Just my interpretation....thank you for the review. I've been looking forward to watching with you.

While I’m not unaccustomed to emotional reactions, Diana has what can only be described as direct access to my heartstrings and tear ducts with her vocals. A talent to be envied by the gods.

I have to implore you CHARISMATIC VOICE…DIANA has recently participated on a MASK SINGER SHOW and her 9th performance is an ARIA called PRINCE IGOR or “FLY ON THE WINGS OF WIND”…I am still shocked and stunned at her expanded and improved high notes. The clip is provided by “KOR” because it’s blocked even in her COUNTRY at present. I pray you’ll take the opportunity.

I have been waiting a long time for this one. Glad you revisited Diana, it has been too long, her voice has likely matured so much more since you last saw her. Loved this rendition, this was the Tommee Profitt dark version and Diana shocked everyone with her interpretation.

Cant wait to hear your take on it. The powerhouse juggernaut of delivery on the last two lines is tremendous. I cant wait to hear it live, im sure she fills up every hall she’s in.

On the topic of control, i love how she ends her very last vowel. She doesn't cut it off abruptly like the percussive instrumentation. She does this soft, but instant, fade-out. It's like when you suddenly have to brake fast, but you do it in a controlled manner so your coffee doesn't splatter against the inside of the windshield.

Every time I see or hear Diana, I am humbled by the redemptive power of love...and my, what she has done with that love! She has super powers...if she challenges you to a staring contest, you may lose your Soul...if she gets goofy, you might die of laughter. I am so proud of her.

Mark Hansen, this is it exactly! Those eyes ... you're right you may lose your soul. When you watch her sitting in her bedroom talking about her 100K KZread plaque, she's just an ordinary goofy teenager. But when she steps on the stage with a microphone, as one of the judges said after her performance of "Oh It Is Not Yet Evening", "the air in the room changes." I wrote a long response on an article on Diana's blog page by Alexander Stepin regarding the "Diana effect", trying to put a finger on what she does to all of us. In the end it's still a mystery and perhaps it's for the best that it stays that way. All I know is I crave her beautiful voice and the effect it has.
