I though she was saying “tinfoil remedy”... referring to inhalation of a certain substance.

this has the potential to be her best album yet, she is showing so much raw vulnerability her lyrical content is fantastic, and her vocals we already knew are incredible.

her vocal at the end is giving me her "get back" and "here we go again" album in a tonal quality somehow

Tin foil remedy is the lyric that made me cry. It was so sad to hear how much she was looking for pleasure but it turned into pain and suffering.

Best song of Demi so far.

A lot of the new songs from the album are shorter than 3:10. Only 5 of the unreleased new songs are longer than 3:10 with the longest one being 3:32.

nowadays artists tend to make shorter songs bc the consumption culture rn is less attentive. Also radios are more likely to play shorter songs, if they are way longer than 3 minutes then they need to release an additional radio edit like with DWTD. commercially it’s easier if the songs are shorter and more compact.

This sounded like walk away from stripped with a mix of twice from liberation. HUGE Christina influence

Demi’s making me think of Amy Winehouse a bit with her vocals, which is always a good thing. A little Back To Black feeling....love it!!

Dancing with the devil is the second song on the album and the song that comes after it is I.C.U which talks about when she woke up in the hospital and couldn't see her little sister.

The next song is “the art of starting over”. And it’s like the second part, that’s why the album is called “Dancing with the devil: the art of starting over”

As always, I love your reaction Nina! Your analysis are always super detailed and interesting to watch! By the way, I don't know if you noticed but there's an octave unison going on throughout most of the chorus and she goes really low (down to a C3 multiple times)!!

You can tell the same guy is producing her music, because the production is always next level!

This is the best I’ve ever heard her sound. She’s always had a strong voice, but could sound easily like she’s screaming. Her vocal agility and flexibility of her vocal cords makes it sound so much easier for her...and yes, stripped, definitely!

Where you thought you heard "ten foot enemy" it's actually "tinfoil remedy" and it's a reference to heroin because her drug combination of choice was was cocaine (hence "it's just a little white line, I'll be fine") and Xanax, but her drug dealer didn't have that on the night of the overdose so she tried crack and heroin. That line made me cry 🥺😢💔
