Hello sir , Actually I am quite confused to choose my goal . I feel that my understanding level of ece is pretty well , then I should prepare for gate . On the other hand if I fail to get a job from campus placement then it would be very difficult for me to face my family . So I need a well job(I.T) as well as want to prepare for gate . So my question is , what should be my strategy to get success in this situation ? Moreover can you suggest any good books or websites to prepare for programing languages and concepts in interview? Thank you. First year tier 3 ece undergrad :(

How is the growth in VLSI compared to Non-tech jobs, Because pursuing Mtech is a big decision, as many people suggest to do an MBA from an IIM rather than Mtech at IIT. This would be really helpful if you can answer this, as i will be completing my ECE 2nd year next month at VIT Vellore, So i want to decide which field i want to go into, so that i can prepare accordingly for exams. Hi there! Can't say all companies allow all students exactly. It's because companies set restrictions, some companies allow all CS and specialisation students but some allow specific CS specialisation students only. Bro currently I am working as an Embedded Engineer as a fresher planning to shift to VLSI carrier but the thing is I have 12th percentage less than 60% chances of getting job....Any Suggestion?

Hey there! Companies have 12 th marks criteria during campus placements. In off campus, First thing they look at is your bachelors university and your score/CGPA in that which is mostly good if above 70. But as such there is no such fixed cut-off, this is my personal suggestion as you will be needing to justify your CGPA in the interview. Apart from that building your technical skills will help you get the job. Try doing courses, building projects to get experience and then test your luck+talent in the interviews. I didn't see any company looking for 12th marks in the offcampus recruitments. Please try applying and approaching multiple HRs for opportunities, most likely on LinkedIn. All the best! Hi there! I didn't really get your question. You meant to ask if getting a job in VLSI is tougher than IT jobs? If that's the question, the answer is yes, it's difficult. Previously I got offers from TCS and Cognizant before getting into this field. And from my personal perspective , getting into VLSI jobs is difficult because the openings here are far very less compared to those of IT jobs. Anyways, we can always give our best. All the best 🙌. Depends on what roles you work in. But typically speaking most of friends work in the IT industry, and I can honestly say they are far less stressed compared to me. But even in VlSI, pressure is not always the case, it depends on the turn around time and tape outs the company is handling. Hope you understand.
