I love making those potholders for my family too! I add Insul-Bright Insulated Lining inside mine before I close them to add a little more hear protection :)

@@brucepapp8826 I lay them on the inside and then use a sewing thread that matches or will blend with the yarn color and attach in the corners (so they don't move around when washing) and simply tight knots that will be hidden before seeming closed the potholder. :)

When I am in a knit mood instead of crochet, I love Purl Soho double-thick pot holder pattern that gives the same effect. Also very quick knit and I have made over a dozen for gifts this season.

I interpreted Calvin's meows to say that if there is yarn in the mail, it's for him. It is SO good to see him in the videos-I miss him.

love those particular vanilla socks, love the homespun yarn color, legacy fibers gives me valentines day or christmas vibes, Love jelly of the month club

I love that apple sausage sliced and throw in with spinach, diced onion and then scramble eggs at the end. Its a protein dense breakfast but its a fan favorite in our house! its so good.

Hi Kay. Love, love your new yarn holder you got in the mail. That material is gorgeous. I would use it all year round too. So good all your family love the cookies you bake even though it is cookie dough already made up. Gluten free food can be so yummy. I have never crocheted pot holders before. Great idea. My daughter is gluten free and she loves those cookies! I’ve never tried them. Maybe next time. My cat, Finn, who looks exactly like Calvin turned around and looked at the tv when Calvin meowed. He’s watching now and waiting for Calvin yo come back!

So many blogs! I never did one before, and yours is the only one I never miss!

I make those potholder's, too. I was recently looking through my Pinterest board and email and folders on my computer for the pattern I made mine from cuz I hadn't made them in awhile and wanted to check it before starting some new ones for myself. I looked up the pattern you mentioned and it looks familiar. Not sure if it's the one I used before but it's the one I'm using now, lol! When I make mine, as I'm seaming it up, I work through the loops of the opposite side of the potholder every couple of inches to attach the two layers to each other so they can't slide or get pulled apart. It's a me thing, I just don't like to pick up a hot dish and have the layers slip across each other, makes me nervous that I'll drop it.

I've made those kind of potholders for friends. I had to make an extra for my neighbor because her husband kept stealing hers for the barbecue. My dogs were confused when your kitty meowed.

Gosh I've never crocheted pot holders...and I do have some Sugar and Cream yarn...hmmm. I'm more of an oven mitt gal...I need all the help not burning myself that I can get. I should probably have mitts to my elbows some days. Hope your package from Canada arrives soon! I remember when my daughter was young and I was a stay at home Mom, some people would say "what do you DO all day?" Uh, follow me around and see if you can keep up. There was such a stigma at one time that women that don't work outside the home don't do anything. I beg to differ....strongly! My husband always said he'd go broke hiring someone to do all the things I do. That bag is so adorable. I finished 1 pair of socks and have them blocking now, and SHOULD be working on my 2 grandsons' pairs. I have 2 MKALs I'm doing and both clues came out today so.......down that avenue I travel. :)

Yes!! It’s true about people asking what do you do all day. It’s non stop! Yes some days have more down time than others. But there is always cleaning, laundry, things to handle. It’s never ending! 😅😂

Thank you for sharing your pot holders. I can do those! In the past, I used to buy some from craft fairs but they weren’t suitable for grabbing hot things. I read somewhere that the material for ironing board covers may be a nice lightweight, heat resistant filler. 🤷‍♀️

Calvin and his meows when he was talking with you made me think of my late Cocoa. She would talk like that because she wanted to warn everyone she was in the room and not to step on her. I so feel your pain about being gluten free. I’m not gluten free; I’m soy free, and my mother is coconut and palm oil free. The taste is very different when you’re accustomed to soy-based products, and my husband will often taste-test things that others have cooked to make sure I can eat it. Like you, I always take my own food to gatherings when it’s not my family cooking. Your blanket is sooooo pretty! I’m still debating whether to make my own, especially since I misplaced three quarters of a quilt and have yet to find it.

The chicken spaghetti looked so delicious. Recipe please. ❤. We love the Adriel’s chicken sausage as well. Never thought of cutting them up.

Love those cookies. They are a great quick dessert.

I have seen the Sweet Loren's cookies at our grocery store and had been hesitant to try them. With my food intolerances, I have been so weary about trying these (something that I can have all the ingredients). Might have to make a batch (or two) for when family comes into town over Christmas (severe peanut allergy for a nephew).

Hi Kay luv all the Vlogmass. Have u ever heard of an integrated heel pattern? I ran across it on Raverly it’s interesting how you knit in the round but get the same look as a heel flap and gusset.
