Great episode! How do you get so much done with the puppy?! We have an almost 7 month old we adopted a little over a month ago. She's great but I can't do anything - she's so busy! We do hike but the heat and humidity has been cutting that down.

I am wondering if 29" loop would be long enough for this method as it's what I have in the size required. Guess I'll find out.

If I hear something like "my working yarn is on the left side, I think to myself: " educational, fun and lots of it, and (my name), you're about to finally make your very first pair of socks and working on dpn's which I've also never worked with before😅. I am excited, to say the least. As someone else in the comment section experienced healing, I feel as if I am about to have some too, now, and not before time. Thank you. 5 minutes in and I am already really looking forward to knitting up a sock. And healing.

I’ve never seen anyone weave in ends like that before! We were taught to follow the yarn path through the way that the knit stitch would have traveled. Not sure if that makes sense, but it’s the way TKGA teaches it. It does hold well for me, but your way looks easier.

Yep I’ve seen people do it that way. I was self taught and this is just what I did and it works great!

Aloha Kay! Love that cowl you are working on! Also, after a 2 year hiatus from anything knitting or crocheting (because..life), I am so happy to be back and although I am currently knitting on another Oracle shawl, I am binge watching your vids (catching up) and am inspired to cast on some socks. Any socks at this point. I may cast on another "With Grace In Your Heart" shawl because I loved the pattern so much! Anyway, can't wait for the Fall knitting because summer right now in Hawaii is so humid and hot and just happy to be back to what I love doing (second to reading of course lol). Sending love and cool tropical breezes your way!

So random, but since you like pop rocks I thought of it. Have you ever had the Oreos with pop rocks in them!??! I know it sounds weird (unless you've tried them) but they are my absolute favorite. We have only found them twice in like 5 years, but they're AWESOME. If you ever come across them, I highly recommend.

I was in your neck of the woods this weekend. We went to a family reunion in southern Ohio and went to our old church in Enon on Xenia street. I had lots of knitting time in the car.

This is my all time favorite KZread video!! I have successfully completed my first pair of knit socks!! I actually learned how to knit at the same time. Next up, I'll be watching and replaying socks on 9" circulars. Thanks a million for these videos, I truly appreciate you!!

Every week is a lot. The behind the scenes is a lot more than most people know. I was so inspired by your red, white, & blue socks I cast on my only patriotic colorway to take to fireworks on the 4th. Plain vanilla sock. It's been a lot of fun to knit. So I'm working on a new pair of vanilla socks, an old WIP, and a pair of DK. I'm a happy sock knitting girl.

Im just getting into knitting socks. I wanted to know if its ok to practice with acrylic yarn before I get sock yarn to save money because I have a lot of acrylic yarn 😊. And i know they won't be super stretchy

  • @CrazySockLady

Yep, you can! Just watch the weight of the yarn if it’s really thick you could end up with some very large socks. 😅 I have a fingering weight pattern for thinner yarn and then a DK weight pattern for thicker yarn. You can always email me if you need help! 🩷

I almost always do both socks at the same time on 9” circulars. I don’t like to have 2nd sock syndrome 😅 so keep both going pretty evenly at the same time.

I’ve been casting on two socks of different pairs at the same time - I didn’t realize how much more motivated I’d be to finish my projects!! If I get bored of one, I can switch to the other 🙌💕
