VLOGMAS 2023: DAY 3 - SHE WON'T SURVIVE THE NIGHT!

DESCRIPTION: VLOGMAS DAY 3 - We are starting our coop build, but have to put it on hold when there are animals in danger and need to be rescued. Someone dumped their pet in a ditch, so it is up to us to try and catch her before she is hit by a car, or caught by a hungry predator!

ABOUT US:
Welcome to our crazy life. We are a mom and dad that moved our two horse-crazy girls from the city to the country in 2020, right before Covid hit. So much has happened since then. We now live on a hobby farm with horses, goats, chickens, peacocks, guinea fowl, ducks, bunnies, a livestock guardian dog and house dogs that are adjusting to country living. We have undertaken many renovations (both inside and outside), love sharing tips on how to repurpose items or do things on a budget, and are always looking for the next DIY project. Follow our horse journey and life on the farm as we vlog our daily lives with our animals.

I grew up with my grandparents who lived way out in the country on a dirt road. We always had a lot of animals which I suppose made people feel like we would welcome any others. My grandparents were too kind hearted and couldn’t let animals starve. Animal control refused to take in any of the literal HUNDREDS of animals that were dumped through the years. There was no WAY my grandparents (who never had much anyway) could afford to have them all spayed/neutered. Cats were the biggest problem. Thankfully both my Grandma and I LOVED cats. We rehomed as many as we could but I can literally remember having well over 50 cats at one point when I was about 13.

I HATE people who dump animals. People do it all the time. They dump them at farms, woods, and fields. We have so many dumped dogs and cats around. Some will tie them up in the woods, and most of the time, they aren't found till it's too late. People will put kittens and puppies in trash bags and toss them out of vehicles. Most people think it's trash, so they dont always get saved. 😭
