My late wife was 5ft 2.5ins (the .5 being the most important part of the measurement) and she always recalled being in a hotel in Derby one evening and going to the bar to find her way blocked by three rather large gents. Sir Viv, Joel Garner and Curtley Ambrose...being the gents they were, they stepped aside so she could be served. She had no idea who they were but did come home with a napkin signed by the three of them....

Two true greats of West Indies cricket- Viv and Richie. Both had lot of self confidence- Tons of runs for west indies. Down the order along with these, Carl Hopper added charm to that team of West Indies. Desmond Haynes & Gordon Greenidge always providing solid start.....Loved it

First time I played in a game of village cricket, took a catch similar to the one in Chapter 3 Ran around the boundary dived full length to snaffle the ball one handed. My career was all down hill from then on! lol The poor batsman was on 49 and thought he'd got his 50.
