In today's Tip-See-Tuesday video, we dive into the evolution of shade guides in dentistry. It took Vita 44 years to improve the original Vita Classic Shade Guide, which was based on hue and chroma, neglecting the value aspect. In 1998, they introduced the Vita 3D Master Shade Guide:
🔸 Vita Classic had 16 shade tabs for easy one-step selection.
🔸 The new Vita 3D Master has 26 shade tabs, adding more choices for clinicians.
🔸 This guide emphasizes value along with hue and chroma.
🔸 The 3D Master requires a three-step process to select the perfect shade.

Hi Doc, The company says to choose the hue last , but when I use it I always choose Value first,then go for the Hue (LMR) and last chroma. It just works well that way I feel.
Dr moez how about vita easyshade lite or advance.? Is it a good investment?
Problem is the labs don't have ceramic powders of the 3d vita ....most labs convert the 3d vita shade number to the vita classical & finish the case & hence the mismatch still exists
