Visiting Japan's Roadside Vending Machine Restaurant in Kyoto 🍔 🍜 🥤Drive-In Daruma
I went to Drive-in Dharma in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture.
They have preserved retro vending machines and arcade games from the past.
There was even a ramen vending machine that you can only find here in Japan.
Though it took some time from Kyoto, I traveled there by train.

I have a cartridge for my Nintendo64 that has Dig-Dug on it as a part of a Namco collection! It was my favorite to play.

@@experience_japan 15:37 No, we do not like that sound here in the USA. It’s gross sounding and considered very rude/disrespectful/inconsiderate to do around others. It’s like a pig eating.

@@experience_japan 19:23 Shocking that you’ve never heard of a jukebox before!! Wow! 😳 They’ve been everywhere in the USA for MANY decades - since at least the 1950s, probably even the 1940s. They play music of your choice in diners//billiards halls/arcades etc, and everyone in the place enjoys the tunes with you. It’s hard to believe that Japan wouldn’t have had them too! I’m seriously shocked.
I find this type of vlog relaxing. No talking.
I really loved the trains, especially when they got smaller and further away from the city. Very charming and clean. I can see why people there would be proud of them!
The food site it really cool, but I enjoyed seeing the Japanese countryside.
this video makes me want to visit japan. those trains are so clean, the countryside is so beautiful.

You should! In Japan, there are many cities with rich nature that are really worth visiting, not just Tokyo, Osaka, and other urban areas.

I love the dedication of travelling to check out a vendo machine place. Train ride plus a nice (long?) walk. Love your videos. I hope you get to upload more soon. Best of luck to your vendo hunting adventures!
I enjoyed the ride thru the countryside of Japan and the vending machines! Looks like you bought up most of the machines we once had in the USA. Hard to find here anymore!
I really enjoy this video. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed
The major cities seems like so much but the countryside and rural parts of Japan seem very relaxing :)
You are such a wonderful guide.Your Country is so beautiful.Thank you for sharing.🧡 from Arkansas USA
A jukebox is something you would normally find at diners and bars (A place to get adult drink). You insert your money and then chose the song you want to play and it plays loudly for everyone to hear and enjoy. =) Its rare to see them even in America these days. I remember there were still alot of them even in the 90s.
12:30 an actual HAM burger. You never saw a jukebox? Now I feel very old.
I love you already. Thank for these videos.
These are always done in such a way that I feel like I'm there. Thanks for doing these for us!

You take such pride in your country. That really makes the videos feel authentic.
What a peaceful place… beautiful countryside, nice relaxing train ride, a cool retro business… would love to visit Japan one day.
I fall in love with vending machine 🥰😍♥️
Japan is such a beautiful country. Hope to see more videos soon :D
Living in a small Canadian province with only one national train I am very envious of Japan and their amazing trains. The scenery on this ride was also amazing to watch!

The effort taken to film this is simply magnificent! Thank you for educating us on the hidden charms of Japan!
This video brought me back. I used to play Super Mario Brothers a lot, as well as some of the other games. I used to go to a few different restaurants that had juke boxes, including an old '50s style diner where people could even dance if they wanted. Coke is also my favourite drink, but it does horrible things to me now; so I no longer have it. I'll have Coke flavoured candy and the like if I can find it. This kind of place is really cool. I wish we had them here in Canada. The train ride itself made the whole thing worth it, I think. It's beautiful.
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for every video that you make. You make me smile every time I see a notification for a new video. My dream is to visit Japan one day. Please keep creating these high-quality videos. Greetings from Germany

Another excellent video. Thank you.
Watching this from the Inland Empire region in Southern California and loving the scenery. I respect the Japanese people so much because they take great pride in their homeland. it's so lovely. The Vending Machine Restaurant.. this is what "The Jetson's" showed us in 1963, Push a button and a fantastic bowl of ramen comes out. I love it.
Was not planning on watching this because there are several videos of going to the retro vending machines......this one was at a different place. Enjoyed the adventure!
Great and interesting content. I like it very much too. Thanks. 👍👍👍😍😍😍

Cooperative and civilized customers keep the business going. This is the best thing about Japanese people, the government had done well to educate its citizens to love their own country clean and tidy.

Japan is never boring
It's cool to see how massive Japan's railfan community is - it's on the same scale as ours in the UK, if not even larger. I know that I'll definitely be spending more than a few hours capturing the action myself when I manage to make the trip across the continent :)

I hope that I'm able to visit Japan one day and maybe even learn the language, living there for a year even seems like it'd be a really cool experience 😊 (Fingers crossed I'm successful enough later in life that I'm able to just- spend a year in another country 0,o) Love from Minnesota! Looking forward to another video from you already :>

You should get one of the folding bicycles that fold up to fit in a small backpack. Granted the wheels are small, but it has to be a little more convenient than walking, plus you get some better cardio workout.
