I am speaking randomly here so please be kind. Electronically the cameras you have aimed at the fields could trigger all kinds of fear to the pigs. It triggers an audio of screaming men with swords rushing in (like in the braveheart movie). Electronic fire work squib explosions that kick up dust. Audio an visual are 2 triggers that will make any beast surely RUN and not come back. Cost - Well Alex can build everything, that`s for sure. 😁

That is a great idea but most of the cameras only have a microphone and no speaker.... i have one that has a spear and we used the alarm and flashing lights, it worked for 3 nights then they ignored it🙄 I watched guy in America use huge sound and light systems, the pigs get used to it and just ignore it. They only walk off when we let the dogs out and even now flashing lights or if they hear us drive home while i watch them on the cameras, they take no notice...... the only run when they hear me shout.... i need s gun license, then they might listen🤣 But thank you for your great comment and suggestion👍

Lovely sport chasing wild pigs out of gardens, reminds me of my times back on our farm in Zimbabwe 1965/70 when we were overrun by these animals destroying our crops by digging up and eating the roots mainly and leaving the vegetation. We mainly set traps ( big strong steel cage type units and put them into the fence, they would find the opening into the field (which was the opening into the cage and when they stepped onto the plate the shutter door would drop closing them in the cage. Lovely meat for the braai (barbecue) and our deep freezers kept full. The only downside was was when one is caught, they don’t come back for a few weeks and you have to move the cage to another area along the fence and disguise the opening with bushes.
