Visiting a Worm Farm - Composting, Fishing, and Castings

We set out to visit a worm farm to learn where our worms as fishing bait comes from and we ended up learning about composting and castings - worm poop! - while we were at it. We took those lessons home and created our our own worm tower and set up a flow-through worm composting bin, too.
We aren't sponsored or paid for these links, but wanted to share them so that you could learn more about each of these places and their products.
Keystone Worms is located in Cleveland, Oklahoma and offers worms, castings, and other related products: keystonefarmsok.com
Hungry Bin is a New Zealand company that has designed a flow-through worm composting system: www.hungrybin.co.nz

@@OkieSchoolofAdventure Thank you for the video!! By chance did they mention. How many worms are in an egg? And if you have adult breeders in great conditions. How often will they lay an egg? One every month or two? Thank you in advance!!

I believe it was every 21 days and the number of worms each cycle depends on the species…the nightcrawlers were only 1 per time. The red wrigglers are at least 3, but can be more. I think she said up to 7. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@OkieSchoolofAdventure Thank you so much!! I want to do this as well! But it looks like so many are getting unto this. That I don't know how successful I would be. So am looking to gain as much knowledge as possible. Before I take the leap. The best thing. Is that this buisness is scalable. Can start small and see where it goes!! Thank you for your thoughtful reply and informative video!!
