Visit to the Wensleydale Railway including Journey behind Diesel 33035 - September 2018
Visited the Wensleydale Railway while on holiday in the Yorkshire Dales early September.
Travelled on the line firstly from Leyburn to Redmire.
Then after a short break while the loco ran round travelled from Redmire to Leeming Bar (via Leyburn & Bedale ) & finally returned to Leyburn. A round trip of over 40 miles!
Hauled by diesel Class 33 33035.
It was great to film some of the run directly behind the loco.
& experience the roar of a 33.
I trust I have managed to capture something of that in this video.
Most of the video footage was taken using my Canon Legria HF200 & was handheld. Only the final shot was taken using a tripod.

Some excellent sounds there. The stations are very attractive aren't they. Nice NER signalbox at Bedale.
Nice bit of on board footage there Ger, that 33 was a long way from its old stamping ground.

Yes Bob I was thinking that when we saw it. I remember photographing them with you when they were allocated on the Cardiff - Portsmouth runs. Geraint
