Blackdown is a 114 hectare site situated between the coast and the countryside in Dorset, with stunning views of both. It is the highest point on the South Dorset Ridgeway. It is also a haven for local wildlife, including the Nightjar and Raven.
It has an excellent network of walking trails across open heath and through woodland. And it’s a favourite with dogwalkers and ramblers.
Visitors are now able to park at our car park on the western approach and walk across the newly laid footpaths leading to Hardy Monument, the woodlands or up to the grassland which boasts some of the best views of the Jurassic Coast in the area.
