It was for the hobbits traveling dangerously far away from home in difficult times the night was dark and lonely however you heart will be true the sun always rises hope in fellowship. It is suppose to end with a prayer in the song. Very moving song.

Great to see a Royal Marines guard working so well with the music. Comfortably listening to the bass drum and taking musical cues for the high port and firing on the last beat of the music.

Finally, the performer picks a song perfect for her range, voice and capabilities. Most female signers try to replicate instead of making the song their own. This lady needs to teach her method for picking a proper song.

Guys these are now royal marines officers who passed the longest officer course in nato of 15 months commando and officer training. To become one of these guys is you defo need to be hard as nails and have those leadership qualities within you.

They are not Royal Marines officers. The guard is formed from trained ranks from an operational commando unit.

@richieputtock555 Ah, yes, these are 43 commando troops guarding the King's palaces that's interesting. My mistake is because how to make a royal marines officer for their pass put parade they wore the same helmets. But tbf that was back in 1986 was it.

Hello my friend .. I was rather dismayed to see that London City Walks posted a video within the last couple of hours that isn’t new but I fact a re upload. That’s not what bothered me but it was the choice of video he chose. He chose one of a fellow KZreadr (you) arguing with someone. He called his title fighting !. I found it to be not at all loyal to a fellow KZreadr who is doing exactly the same thing .. filming the goings on at horse guard. To upload this again with the title of KZreadr fighting is not exactly singing your praises and not at all a good reflection on you. I found it in extremely poor taste of someone who is filming for money just the same as you. I wanted to let you know how it is seen. Take care x

Why?

The Guard of Honour was a first class Shambles, and this Video should never have been circulated to the World...The Drill was a disgrace. If you do not agree then keep stopping the Video and check the lining up. particularly on the Left Dress when most fists were half way across the next man's chest, check the toes of the BOOTS...Boy Scouts could have done better. Perfection in drill is NOT just on the Parade Ground. The Young songstress has a nice Voice BUT the song and the music was depressing.

I agree, Al, I've seen cadet forces in drill competitions as sharp as you'd like. But! And it is a massive but. There are so few servicemen now compared with even just ten years ago that I doubt the drill practice will ever be as intense as it has been in the past. The years of servicemen doing nothing but exercises has been replaced with continuous operational duties because of the cut in numbers. Therefore something has to give and I reckon that has been square-bashing. Absolutely no criticism of the those on parade. Practice makes permanent but if there's no time to practice because you're doing the jobs of three units, then the fault lies with elsewhere.

For your info smart arse, only 25 days before beating retreat a large group of these lads were just completing their Commando tests.. In the whole of RM training a modern recruit only has approximately 2 weeks drill.

Are these the same red-coats that King Charles iii is going to lead, when he marches into Beijing China to claim he is their new King? (important note: He is not my King.)😀
