Wow! Isn't art fantastic. I feel like I've had a rich and profound conversation with my fellow human beings and yet not a word spoken. Thanks RA for putting this up.

Hi David, thank you so much for this lovely comment! We're so glad you enjoyed it.
I'm from Melbourne Australia, we've been in covid lockdown for months - we're slowly coming out of it and some of our smaller galleries are opening up, our massive ones are still closed. I can't wait to go back and wander around room on room filled with art & I'll never complain about getting tired gallery legs ever again. This video would have taken so much time and effort to make - sincerely a deep thank you.
magnificent!!!! thank you for this... I cannot travel to the UK before a long time... this video is a blessing
I keep rewatching this perfect fusion of stellar art and haunting music. Do not leave us hanging - promise you'll shoot more docs on your artists!!!! Connecting with art has become essential for my mental health during Toronto's 4th lockdown. Kindly list the music ! I watch many art openings and never have I seen so much compelling art in one location. You've exceeded New York and are now the art center of the world IMO! I'd love more docs on your elder painters, please! :)
Beautiful. Just: beautiful. Thank you, all, artists and curators, musicians, and makers of this video. Beautiful.
Amazing .....ख्वाहिश भी पूरी हो गई आज आर्ट गैलरी जाने की.....❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved it,so many interesting pieces, thankyou for sharing.
Wonderful works of art and fantastically well filmed. I am convinced that artists are the best part of the world. The curators of the exhibition have put a lot of work into making each work of art look side by side, very well, to highlight each other. Thanks!
Entranced for the duration, charmed by beauty and splendour. Thank you for each creation.
Thank you!!! I loved watching this.
I think I’ve watched this from beginning to end at least 3x. It’s so beautiful and needed for me right now. Thank You 🙏🏾
Lovely overview of the Summer Exhibit
Keep doing this. It's great.
Exemplary film, how art should be shown. Beautiful music...
Love this. This is what we need during quarantine.
Thank you just what i needed.
Brilliant!
Brilliant.. Thanks very much 👍
Lovely. Thank you for this. It's just what my heart needed. And who are the 15 dislikes? People who dont like art?
Beautiful presentation
So wonderful to see the RA show and without the curation it may have been even better. With the option of curation would be nice too.
Thank you!
Lovely!
Excelente. Saludos desde Venezuela.
Thanks for making this, I wanted to visit it this summer but due to COVID-19 a lot had changed
Using this for a virtual field trip for my painting class, thank you!

La calidad de la filmación muy profesional felicitaciones permite apreciar las obras. gracias.
Muchas gracias!
Marvelous assortment
I find it very interesting and do enjoy that you go close on one art work at a time - but for me it would be optimal to see the whole art work before zooming in on texture and other details 😊🙏
Interesting artworks.
Thank you for making this. Sad I wont be there this year. Please do put the music in the description.
Eerie...so eerie
Awesome 👍👍👍👍
I hope to get in again one year :D
HI RA Great vid - made all the more poignant by the fact that I was due to attend on the 26th Nov and now will have to wait! Please can you tell us what the music is -as it makes the online experience so much more powerful - a list of tracks/artists would be really useful. Thank you.
Made in soul...
lovely
thank you so much for this! lovely indeed and tasteful + elevating! What is the name of the background music (the one that plays at around 19:18) or is there a play list?
if we pause the video, we can't read the captions because KZread play control overlays the caption. You may have to put the captions higher by 100%
Maybe create another version for the 2021 exhibit?
Thank you RA ! Whose music ?
First time ever watching RA exhibition and it was an amazing experience despite being virtual. really good presentation
xD thanks for such amazing vid
please, where is it? a wonderful space!
This is wonderful, however the artists who composed the music are not credited.
Who wrote the music??
Thanks a lot. btw No 4K? bit disappointing.
Seeing a bit of the " art " on display, keeping the place closed, is not a bad idea at all !
Wow!! Phenomenal Artworks. Thank you

Some of the work are absolutely stunning - but sadly majority of the pieces are just kitsch in the 21st century.

I liked 2:48 and some others
The film is well put together and I enjoyed the tour but I agree with Melita P King and, yes, whatever happened to the art of drawing? I really think this bias towards abstract art has to stop and we must also respect the talented figurative artists which should also be adorning the walls of the RA and elsewhere. There's room for both and I think all art exhibitions and galleries should reflect this. Not everyone likes a few lines on a blank canvas. Some abstract art is attractive but people should have access to both styles and there are talented figurative artists out there who should have the opportunity to be given the acclaim they deserve.

for me abstract is my favorite form. get what your saying though
A lot of these paintings would be better if the artists had been taught technique at art school. Good ideas but let down by the standard of drawing. Good sculptures.
Why not do this every year...Why should London art shows be only for the privileged elite who can afford the time and money to get there? If you're concerned it's a spoiler then at least show such a virtual tour after it ends...? Come on Royal Academy...share...

Hi Chris, thanks for watching! If you liked this video, check out the 'Virtual Tours' playlist on our channel for more video tours of our previous exhibitions.
whatever happened to the art of drawing????
It would have been nice to have more focus on art from open submissions and not so much on royal academy members for a better balance. The way this is shown makes it look like the exhibition is mostly made up of RA members.

My thoughts exactly👏👏. The Summer Exhibition was meant to give amateur artists a place to be seen but the Royal Academy members take up a lot of the space and have the best rooms and positions. Every year it seems to get worse.
Some of the art was non-trivial; but most was the victim of over-curation..
🙄
Some peace 🤢
The music is incredibly banal. Astounding that a cultural institution would be so uncultured.

lol
I am disappointed that it seems that RA has fallen into the mechanism "the whole world has the same art", which can be seen at all exhibitions around the world, there is no progress for art history, the history of art is weeping.... ps.....I do not dispute any work here that is good .... only that all things have already been seen in the last century, I am talking about the progress of history and civilization...

change it?
Very nice overall, except few Woke racist paintings
IWP So disappointed with the R.A.A. you should know better. Always that music added in arts programs. What for? It is a visual experience and enough in and for itself. So distracting. It does not compliment. Art does not need that. If it does then it is bad art. To add music means it becomes part of the experience of looking. The artists never intended that music should be part of the experience. Compliment it, and pay respect to it, and explore it, and enjoy it- with quiet slow attentive perception. Or go listen to live music. In which case you dont have to look at art at the same time!!
