    Clark's pass is so underrated. When you are running to the backcourt with your back to the basket as clock ticks down... to have the composure to first check the clock, then have the state of mind to make a pass on target and in rhythm with one hand... 90% of college players would have shot a prayer in that situation

    Diakite made a great shot and Clark made a great pass, but another great element was Clark keeping his poise and not throwing up a panicked half court shot.

    agreed. I'm not detracting from our other players (UVA fan) but i think if anyone else had that ball at that time, we'd have seen a bad half court shot being thrown up instead of that pass

    I keep replaying and replaying that moment, but you could see how fast Clark ran that ball down, I mean quick and dribbled 2-3 times and launching a heads up pass to Diakite! Just to process and react in seconds! Unbelievable! Great play on the assist from the freshman!

    I keep replaying too and a couple of things - Eifert and Cline were boxing out Diakite. that's how he was able to reach out and tip it - I'm so glad he didn't give it to Jerome or Guy because all 4 Purdue players went to them and Harms went to Salt

    Best pass in NCAA history. Most players would have panicked and heaved up a hopeless half court miss. The awareness to get the best shot was phenomenal.

    @@joeycameron4744 That was an inbounds pass with the clock stopped and nobody covering Hill. Clark made that pass on the fly with time running out and put it exactly where it needed to be for Diakite to get the shot off in time.

The poise he showed in making that pass and the zip and placement he put on that ball warrants praise.     For everyone who thought that last play was a backcourt. They did not have full control when they tipped it backcourt. So it remains UVA’S ball even though it went backcourt.

    No one else even came close to the ball, it was a controlled tap to the backcourt and should've been ruled a backcourt violation. The reason he tapped it back was so that the guards could get it for a 3 point play. Its no difference from if it was tipped on a non-free-throwed rebound. The refs can say what they want but it should've been a violation.

    10:47 I love, love, love the reaction of the Purdue fan. Was he sad? Shocked? No, he had a huge smile on his face because he was acknowledging a great play, and some more basketball to come in OT. Purdue fans were all class at this game, and y'all have gained many fans from Virginia with the way you handled yourselves.     That pass covered half a courts length in exactly 1 second (1.9 to 0.9 secs left), and was right on point. He was at about two thirds court with 1.9 seconds left. Most players would have taken one more dribble then tossed up a beyond half court shot. Unreal play. I'm not a fan of any of the remaining teams but I hope Virginia wins the championship. It would make this all the more memorable.

    I'm a diehard Purdue fan but have to give a ton of credit and love to Virginia and coach Bennett. They played outstanding and made the tough shots, the tough rebounds, and incredibly smart plays. Credit to them. Hope they win it all.

    When Bennett recruited him a lot of the fan base hated it because he was short and wasn't even rated by most recruiting sites but after he committed to Virginia he got noticed and ended up a 3 star recruit add 6 inches and he would have been a 4 star

    After having Guy and deandre hunter injured vs UMBC, and losing to 16 seed, Virginia comes back next year to reach the Final Four !! What a story of redemption 🙏🏽 love this team ❤️

    Years later, this is still one of the greatest March Madness games I've ever seen. This is what you expect in the Elite 8, with two teams playing at the top of their abilities in a game that goes down to the wire. An anticlimactic ending, but still an amazing game overall.

    Clark, a freshman, not known for being the star player, plays incredible defense, made an absolutely immaculate pass that most people would have fluffed, and put the final dagger in the game with his only two points. A player’s points don’t tell the whole story.

    Zags yearly choke? It wasn't until 2017 Gonzaga got past the elite 8 to a national title game in their bball history. Missouri & BYU still have not gotten past the elite 8 yet have won more than a few ncaa tourney games yet no final 4 trips.

    Mamadi Diakite reminds me so much of Chris Bosh. He's got a great game. But that Purdue guard Edwards for Purdue...he league ready right now.

    Where the heck did Clark come from! He went from unknown to big time in the matter of a couple weeks which is once again another reason why March Madness is the best! There's always a man who makes himself a name from out of nowhere and Clark has been that man in this NCAA tournament for UVa! He and Diakite r why Virginia has the opportunity of a lifetime! I'm a die-hard Blue Devil, but besides Carolina (obviously can't ever get myself to root for them before, now or ever) it's all about the ACC so let's go Virginia! Bring it home Cavs!

    A game for the ages, so glad Coach Tony Bennett can get last year's debacle off his back, the Hoos get back to the Final Four after a 35 year wait, so glad I got to see it, hopefully it will end with their first NCAA championship, Hoos all the way !!

    If they win it all especially against Duke it'll be one of the greatest redemption climbs of all time. Going from the only 1 seed to lose in the first round to the final four as a turn around is by itself incredible.

    Skip "Money" Dillard, the nation's leading FT shooter at 91% for the entire season rims out the front end which leads to John Smith's game winning layup 59-57! Of which St Joe's then followed that by upsetting John Bagley and Boston College 49-48 before losing to eventual NCAA champion Indiana in the Elite 8

    I think Edwards is definitely going to be good player, he's ceiling is Dame Lilliard to me with a floor of around JJ Barea in his prime type production

    I’ll always remember this game so fondly. I’m from Indianapolis, so I have loyalties towards Purdue and Kyle Guy! I was on my senior spring break with all of my friends during this game, I remember the parents (several Purdue grads) were inside the house watching the game; we could hear their screams from outside. Even though it wasn’t the outcome we wanted, this was such a fantastic game! Can’t wait for March Madness 2020

    Notice no matter what pace their opponent played in the tournament, Virginia stayed the course! They proved they could both play fast and play the half-court! And surprisingly the team playing the best defense by far in the country (Texas Tech) couldn't slow down UVa's possessions! They time and again broke the Red Raiders' press on the inbounds or after made baskets
