LOVE THE VIDEOS. Doing this mod this weekend 🤟🏻
You can use some steel wool to dull the chrome finish on the shift lever, would give it a satin finish similar to the plate on the knob.
Another great video! Have you thought about making a video on how to replace wheel bearing hubs? We could use a thorough one on the C5.
I went with Recaro pole position seats for my artic white/ Mod red and it made a huge difference and better driving experience and makes my interior more sporty modern
This is too awesome. I have the MGW on my C6 but I've always felt like it could have a better feel and I like this setup of yours. I plan to try it on mine. Thanks for the content. Btw my wife got a C5 and we were watching your videos yesterday while replacing all her suspension with poly bushings and coilovers. Always good information so again Thanks!

Which brand coilover? (don't say Silvers)

@@brett31979 QA1 double adjustables. We are liking them so far. I have Fortune Auto coilovers on my C6 as well.
Do you have a video on that radio love the look
Q: which MGW are you running as a base? The 'flat stick' with it's own tub I take it? And that shift rod gets bolted from the side like the new Tick? I tried the Tick and ditched it. Went back to the ooooold MGW on TMod base and am in love. I ABSOLUTELY did enjoy and prefer the 30* +/- cant of the knob on the Tick similar to as you have here and have been pondering how to do the same but on a typical threaded rod. If I can get one locked down I may just have to bend one and go for it.
🔥🔥💪🏽
Which videos shows the new radio control knob your using?
What's the plan for doing leather on the dash? I've used J-F Customs successfully on several smaller units and honestly do not like other brand products out there short of Caravaggio level of work. So like RPI for example would be out for me. But I've contemplated doing the dash and am just not picturing how a vendor shop can do it decently short of forcing me to go full custom if I did. Then there's the airbag cover as a question. And if I did then I'd probably do the gauge/head unit/hvac surround as well all to match. It seems a lot to bite off and so I am sticking to console, cover, roof, shift and ebrake boots, and may consider the door panels.
Wait, no longer planning a smaller diameter steering wheel that still has an airbag? It's #1 on my complaints/wishlist for my '03 but haven't been confident enough from other "how-tos" to take the leap.
The shift knob link on Amazon is no longer available, but the part is available on several Mopar vendors.
What model is the Hurst stick for? C5 corvette? Might try this just need to buy the stick. Already have the MGW.
how much moly did you put in the trans
The shifter in my c5z has always been tight. Did a full MGW shifter and it’s even worse. I have a new tick master but that’s just to prevent issues. Waiting to get a solid summer drive in to see if the LiquiMoly helps. But otherwise I’ll be trying to use the MGW jig and readjust the shifter or reCenter it and see what happens. Fore and aft is tight. Left to right is fine.

If you're doing that much work on it, ditch the GM Torx bolts and grab something with a hex head. Standard sizes there. M10 x 1.5 x 30mm from your preferred parts store, or ARP 672-1003.
What weight liquid molly did u run in the trans? I hate how my mgw feels

Two things. 1 - RAISE your knob on the bar if you have the threaded straight shaft style, 2 - realign the base when setting the 2x bolts to the TT. I mark the bolt surrounds as I go. It is usually more sensitive to forward/back and there is a lot more room to gain there, but side to side can be adapted for also.
What fluid did you put into the transmission and how much. And how much liquiymoly (what additive) i want to mimic what you did.

Fresh fluid tends to do the trick too. $30 to $40 for GM Synchro. More if you go Amsoil, etc.

@@brett31979 hey thanks for the response. I meant to say how many quarts or liters of each fluid. I am probably gonna opt for amsoil for the transmission fluid plus the liquimoly additive you used. Just wana know how much I need to order when i do a full flush. Dropping transmission and planning to do it (well shop will for me)

@@ahmeda3050 Best to Google for the full answer. When doing a quick flush I have gotten away with two bottles of SynchroMesh and been fine, but the right thing is probably to use 3 and fill perfectly to the fill line and let any heat expansion fluid drip out as intended. I have also used Amsoil and their recommended combo successfully for 9 years in one T56. I have not tried the Liqui-Moly, interesting as it is, as I am going down a bigger power path and I'm choosing to listen to the guys who built my 6060 conversion. Good luck with yours!
