@coochiecrook7120 Nothing extra but all dashcams with the 3m stickers are difficult to take off. Usually you need a heat gun to do so.

My camera doesn't get a GPS lock, no matter what I've done, it flashed blue and never locks, but does correct the time, the app is piss poor too, any idea how to fox the GPS or do I need to buy another GPS mount

hi, how the about the overheating issues, have you face it while the Dashcam working 24h from three side: The main Camera stop working record? Due to the high heat, the screen is affected by black color? Are lenses affected by Pouting over time because of the sun?

Unfortunately it was not hot enough here in Vancouver for me to test it. I know other VIOFO dashcams I have used during the summer even with parking mode in 35 degree C weather (outside the dashcams have not overheated.

Which front camera is more discreet? Is the A139 Pro or the A229 Pro less noticeable from outside the vehicle?

Great question! If I had to guess I would probably say the A139 Pro. The A229 Pro is rectangle shape up and down whereas the A139 Pro is a similar shape but sideways which means it would fit more discreetly along the top of the windshield. Be mindful that if you have tint on the top of the windshield then you would not be able to place the dashcam higher on the glass. Thanks for watching, I hope that helps.

When the front-facing cam is mounted on the windscreen (with the 3M adhesive patch), can the camera be removed (separated from the module in the car) if I wanna take it with me? /Don't want to leave it on the windscreen, because of a sketchy neighborhood./

Yes almost all dashcams you can remove them from the sticky mount without having to remove the 3m sticker. Thanks for watching and sorry for the later response.

I just Subscribed & rang the notification bell: This is the FIRST video I watched actually showing the Polarizing Filter being fitted/installed over the camera lens. Have you or others experience cameras falling off the windshield in HOT weather with Viofo's sticky adhesive mounting system? I, for one, would prefer the Viofo mounting system be magnetic, similar to the Garmin mounting system. I especially like the Cabin camera with added infrared lights can be positioned to cover/record the driver's door window & the passenger's door window - to record a Police Officer or a vehicle that slams into the side of my car. I will continue to use my Garmin OBD power cord to provide 24/7 power to the cameras instead of Viofo's Hard-Wire power cord because I intend to use the Parked recording features when the vehicle's engine is not running. If a Police officer tells me to remove the ignition key from the switch, my cabin camera will still record him.. I don't have a so-called "Smart" phone & like that I can access the menu with the buttons on the windshield camera. I like that you show how I will use the button on the camera to access the menu.

Thanks for watching! The hardwiring kit does the same thing as the OBD cables however it is a little more complicated to install. So it'll still run even with the key out of the ignition. Maybe Viofo will eventually make an OBD cable! Thanks for watching

What are your thoughts with using the polarizer? Maybe good for daytime but I'm not sure with night time. What would you suggest, on or off all the time for best all round quality?

Sorry for the late response. I find them much better in terms of not having over saturated footage in bright daytime footage as well as if license plates reflect too much light at night. I always use them on my dashcams. Sorry for the late response.

@azclaimjumper fair...one thing I heard people do is increase the exposure of the dashcam with the polarizing lens so it allows in more light but doesn't over satuare license plates. Might be worth trying

How is the parking mode? I read it lacks behind the U3000. Can the 3 channel version (interior camera) be used to monitor side of vehicle in parking mode?

Hey there. So for these reviews I usually don't hardwire them because of the cost of paying someone to install doesn't make practical sense. However I love this dashcam so I actually installed it professionally yesterday with a hardwire kit and now get parking mode. I'll report back my thoughts! So far I have it in low bitrate which seems to work well, but I'm using a 64GB memory card so I'm hoping it won't fill up too quickly. Yes the U3000 in my opinion does have a better parking mode (longer parking mode and radar) but there's a few hundred dollar difference which may not be worth it for some people

Also I'm not using the interior camera so I'm not sure about that. Again having 3 channel in parking mode would just take up more space on my memory card. Thanks for watching

At the same time? Not sure if you can but each time you connect you have to manually connect to the wifi so you should be able to do it from any phone. Thanks for watching and sorry for the late response.

damn that's ritzy. You can get great camera cameras for $500. Very nice quality though. The image is pretty good, but the low light and stabilization is excellent.

Yes the price isn't for everyone but if you compare thus to the Thinkware U3000 it's $300 cheaper for the 2 channel option! Thanks for watching

3:17 it's not sunglasses. That refences is used for ND filters. This is a polarizer filter. It helps with reducing reflections.

I don't understand. There are 3 cameras to stick, why send just two electrostatic stickers?

Don't forget to install the Polarized Lens much better view

I just bought this camera and it’s garbage. App doesn’t work (connects but cannot preview and is so slow as to be unusable) and has a 1.7 rating on the Apple App Store. People can’t transfer their videos reliably. How much were you paid for this review? I will give it a day or two and then it’s all going back. Also, I can’t trust your reviews in future.

Have you downloaded the correct app? There are a couple of apps that have Viofo in the name. You need the App that's called "Viofo". Once installed you should select the A229 camera. I made the mistake of downloading a different app, once I downloaded the correct "Viofo" App it worked perfectly.

@@ManzilMonabber iPhone 14 Pro Max I returned this product. The Apple Store rating is 1.7 and everyone seems to have the same problems. Previously it looks like there were some workarounds which no longer work. I gave up on this.
