Good video. Good to know your favorite artist and slow songs of 35:32 all times. I'm a 60 - 90 RnB soul collector and a lot of singers, in my opinion are more talented than Rick, Teena, Stephanie and Prince. I love them as well. It would take a while to list them. Starting with Sam Cooke, Luther, David Ruffin, Barry W. Marvin G. Al Green, Areatha, Gladys, Whitney, Billie H., Chi lites, Temps, Otis R, Wilson P. Persuaders, Roy Hamilton, Glenn Jones, Luther V.. Must agree with Marvin and Tammi. Ashford and Simpson and peaches and Herb not bad.. Love Rick and Prince, but vocal skills don't equal to a lot of singers. Dells, Dramatics, lead vocals, Sam Cooke (my all time favorite) outstanding. . 100% Curtis, Sam, and many others deserve box sets.. Can go on forever, but still a good video.

New fan and subscriber here. Nice vinyl collection!! Comin in April or May, a bio pic about Amy Winehouse. I bought a cd box set of Curtis Mayfield and you introduced me to some Curtis music I never knew existed and catch Frankie Beverly in his last and final 2024 world tour. Happy to say, I saw Rick James and Tina Marie in concert and yes they performed Fire and desire. Btw… I caught one of the drummer’s drum stick at Rick’s concert!! Thanks for sharing!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by and subbing! Yeah, they never pressed that Curtis on vinyl unfortunately. Man, I hope Frankie and Maze come to Phoenix. I would really like to see him one last time. I wish I could have seen Rick & Teena in concert. That must have been amazing. And you caught a drumstick???? Bananas!!!!

Love seeing Lady T, Emotions, Stephanie Mills, Luther Vandross and Amy Winehouse featured. I had always thought Bobby Caldwell was black when I first heard him back in the day. The way he sang "What You Won't Do for Love" is such a soulful song! Never heard of Lady Ray or Wee. Will definitely check them out. And couldn't agree more a Curtis Mayfield box set is long overdue. Darrell you won a friend and subscriber. Great stuff, and will check out the stuff I’m not familiar with. Saw Frankie Beverly in 91 at New Otrleans Jazz fest and was blown away. What can you say about Curtis and Rev Al Green. Played the Marley album to death in the mid to late 70’s at college. Check out Toots in Memphis (tremendous). Gratitude by EW&F is a great live one. I know you’re not a box fan but the Complete Star Volt Singles and Beg Scream & Shout (Big old Box of 60’s Soul) are staples in my collection. Look forward to future vids!!!! Thanks.

Yes that's true but this is a "vinyl" tag and People Get Ready was never released on vinyl.
