The MB with the winch, I finally got a little glimpse of the front axle. Is that a narrowed YJ axle, it sure looks like it. The same Jeep appears to have an AT, if so I assume it’s a short case like a small Torque Flight or C4? For those of us who have been bouncing the desert for 40-50 years or more we find it really interesting to see the old, classic (and yes even beautiful in their own way) iron doing these trails. You might consider highlighting the mods on these rigs sometimes. A lot of us don’t need to hear about a 50K (or more) JK or JL with another 30-40K in aftermarket bolt on products.

Super Sami , there will be a series of videos on Pepe about its history and the changes that it has gone through since 1976. I have had this Jeep since I was 9 years old. The videos will be posted on KZread under Rock Cred. Yes it has a C4 Auto trans and a Ford 2.3 motor.

I 100% agree, but we know jeep won't be cause then nobody would buy the overpriced garbage they're selling now, The Mahindra roxor is basically just a reproduction willys with a modern powerplant ( which they ARE licensed to make) sold as a offroad only vehicle, and jeep was quick to try and chase them out of the US market, and basically did some legal shenanigan so they had to change the look of the front end, ngl, the new models are fucking ugly, but its just a face plate and fenders you could swap out with a set of tools if you're handy and there is even a company that specializes in converting them to be road legal in all 50 states, so if you really wanted something like that, it could be bought, just alot of hoops to jump through.

@@xmo552 to be clear it's less physical conversion and more navigating the murky waters of the dmv and state to state requirements.
