Boy. This brings back old memories. I drag raced a 440Z. 340 Z and a 634 Puma in 1976 to 81. We raced in the WSRF racing association. I was 15 when I started out. We Did Awesome every year. I wish I had those sleds back.

We would jump into other classes stock A super stock B. A. Mod B. A. And Open class. I would race right around 40 to 65 times a day. According to how many sleds there was.

Had an '81 El Tigre 6000 500 LC drag sled that ran an unofficial 110 mph in 660' in the cornfield behind my place. Sold it for diddly squat when I was out of work. Biggest motorsport regret of my life.

@@TahoesNTurbos Would cost somewhat astronomical to build again and some parts were rare like the custom aluminum skis. It was built when I got it. All I did was correct the warped head and did a mild port job to it. It had HPE twin pipes and bored carbs and was considerably lightened. Was brutal and couldn't be matched by my stock 900 TCats.

That was interesting. Glad I didn't have to sit out in the cold to watch it. I remember when most of those machines were new.

Yes I did, Yamaha has been dominate in the vintage drags since they were just drags. I personally am a Yamaha man and would love to find one but around here they are coveted. Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoyed!!!
