Recently we met with James Kibble from Kibble Watches and he showed us some of the Rolex watches he had on offer. We were fortunate to have some hands-on time with Rolex watches both vintage and new, the perfect opportunity to see how things have changed over the years.
This is a quick overview of the evolution of the Rolex design on some of their most popular watches.

DJ36 with fluted bezel and jubilee is the perfect rolex.
I'll leave vintage to those with the deeper pockets often needed to buy and maintain such models. My Rolex AD has served me well. I'll let my modern Rolex age with me.
It was great to have you and I look forward to doing more videos in the future.
Neo vintage is the best, you don’t have to deal the scary cost and Franken watches of earlier vintage and they’re not faked like the modern jewelry Rolex offerings. Mid 80s to mid 90s is the sweet spot of value and style IMO.
What's the reference number of the full gold datejust?
I have recently acquired a bnew rolex DJ. Will the white gold fluted bezel lose its luster and shine like after 10-20yrs?
lol the sub isn’t 44mm
Explorer 1 at 36mm is near perfect, kind of boring and yet still near perfect. Could be the only watch you need.

I obtained a 124270 and really wanted to love it, but after 7 months sold it. The dial is perfect but it wore so diminutive with the tiny clasp and severe taper to 14mm. It wears much smaller than a traditional 36mm and I just couldn’t get used to the size.
I hear words as "striking" when it comes these watches... I can't be the only one thinking they are an endless row of reeeeeeeeeeaally boring watches? What is it that is so special except for the inflated value? If anyone payed four digit prices for a plexi glass dress watch of any other brand they'd be concidered insane. For me it's one of the least intresting brands out there. And sadly - allthough I am an open person, I just can't understand the people that worship it.
