Greetings!! I 😍 looking at this video. My first Barbie was a brunette Bubble Cut which I begged my father to buy for me in Tucson when I was about 10 years old. We were very poor so I know the $3 he paid for it was a sacrifice to the family. I envied the girls in my school who had the ponytail Barbies, their beautiful clothes and the carrying cases. I have yet to buy an original ponytail Barbie but it is my hope to find one at a decent price. My next goal is to attend a Barbie convention. You two are a riot!! I enjoy your videos. I know.this is old but my boyfriend likes when I buy a new vintage barbie he gets excited, he's like when we get super old we can just sell them I'm like boy pack your bags it makes him laugh. Oh my number 3 is still retaining her pink color I don't want her turning white yetttt....

And they smell like crayola crayons too : )

My #1 wears her glasses fine.

I recently found a case that had some Barbie clothing, a 1961 titian bubble cut ( the first year they were made) and a number four ponytail. The ponytail Barbie has green ear unfortunately. Do you guys have any tips for helping that poor girl?? PS I love the videos you guys put out. They’re so much fun. Ideal Tammy family is my favorite so it’s great to see those lovely dolls getting the attention they deserve ❤️❤️

I use CLR most of the time---- I am trying white vinegar now, after using CLR for 15 days....we'll see how it works.

I’m not sure which I had from the early 60s - I believe she had a red swimsuit on in the box and dark red ponytail hair

My Aunt had the #3 Barbie and a black case, she kept her perfect, she wouldn't let me touch her, fast forward, she loaned her to her grandchildren, they ruined her... I cried, (literally). I love these outfits too, I just got the repro Suburban Shopper, still expensive, NRFB, not anymore!! He!He! I like this body type, the clothes fall nicely, the newer Barbies all have such large heads with flatter chests and rears, I'm not a fan. Great examples, very nice.

michael moore I’ve found the majority of my doll collection from thrift stores, Craigslist & Estate Sales. Most Estate Sales advertise on CL and the ad will usually mention if they are selling dolls. I visit thrift stores pretty frequently like 3-5 times a week. It’s best to go when the thrift store opens or else it will get picked over pretty quickly. Be sure to look closely for flaws as they greatly affect the price you will get reselling the doll. Some flaws can make older Barbies worthless like green ear, missing fingers, nose nips etc. The same goes for doll clothing. Stains , odors & rips can make a clothing piece useless. Sewing skills come in handy. Make sure they have a cloth tag on the inside of the clothing piece. I will say that if you are serious it can be very time consuming to find the good dolls. Happy hunting Michael and I wish you success. The thrill of the hunt is so much fun. I hope this helps. I’ve been doing this for 20 years and started thrifting when I was a teen as my mom was really into garage sales & thrift stores.
