Mulberry Paper! Draw a line with water on a paint brush and pull the piece off. It makes a beautiful frayed edge. You’ll love it.
That recipe album would make a great ephemera storage book with all those plastic pockets!!! I love watching your haul videos, almost as much as thrifting myself.... except I don't have to try and find room for the stuff after....LOL!!! My hubby asked recently why I buy so much craft stuff and I told him for the same reason he has about a thousand fishing lures and 20 different fishing rods!!!

Klavarscribo was a Dutch invention a way of notation for keyboard instruments. It’s rather like the pictures you get for guitar chords. It is a depiction of the keyboard. The black notes are the lines and the spaces the white notes in between. I as an English girl can play that music. I taught myself as a girl. My slightly eccentric father had that music for us to learn on. Thank you for the memory. ❤❤❤

The piece of fabric with the spices would make a nice cover for a cook book journal.

Yeah , I think so 😍
The seed in the book is from an oak tree. Live the hual.
Such lovely treasure you found. The large batch of handmade looking papers is what we call mulberry paper here in the states. It was popular 20 years ago but not that available these days. You can cut the mulberry paper by tearing it gently once you’ve drawn a line with a water brush or dipped paintbrush in water. Great finds and I really loved the old atlas with the maps….never find anything like your treasures around here so it’s fun to see what you find on your vintage treasure hunting. Thanks for sharing!

I love watching your treasure hauls. I'm always envious of the wonderful books you find and I've started calling my wool and yarn "woollies" because it makes me smile every time you say it 🥰 I also watched Cori Dahmer's studio tour and put knitting needles on my wish list of things to find. If you don't think you're up to the woodworking maybe you could use a cardboard box instead. Thanks for another fun video. Cheers, Tracey 😊

Amazing!!! I took a screen shot of the frame with the needles through the frame. When I know I have things organized and I will know what size to make the frame, I AM MAKING THIS! Great minds think alike! I'm putting ribbons and trims in the frame. Sandi , BC Canada

Hi Margareth someone has probably already mentioned it but just in case, the fabric piece cut into a 'cross shape will be the base for making a bag of some sort, you join the small edges together and it creates a ' basin' shape 💜 Love, love love watching your vintage hauls 💕💕💕

Hiya, your hauls are amazing. I thought I would visit a few op shops the other day, I was thinking of what you said about finding things, made me grin. Well I took a car full of stuff to donate, haha, finding things didn't go well, I came home with a sheet of stickers. Nothing like your hauls. I love the wall paper samples..ok jealous.

Hello Margreth... I usully don't watch hauls videos but yours is a really interesting one. You are so lucky having found all these treasures...Love all you brought home especially the wallpaper, the tea box and the cute vintagy playing cards... By the way, " Chutes de tissus" means "scraps of fabrics".. 😉 Can't wait to see what you're gonna do with all these beautiful things... I am sure you'll have fun... Have a good day, and take care .... Christine, from France😘 (if you like, I could send you french old postcards, tell me)

I have a playlist of haul videos if you want to see more. Thanks for translating for me, I should put that grade on my box with fabric scraps 😂 😘😘
The handmade paper (burgundy, etc) is mulberry paper. Use a paintbrush dipped in water to tear shapes- like "cutting out" napkin designs- You're going to have so much fun with all your finds! Can't wait to see what you create~

Wish my thrift hauls were so good! But definitely caught the bug now and looking for more "junk", antique and reclamation places next; and the national charity shops in the UK just don't work for me. I love the tea tray that you found and will be on the lookout for something in a similar shape to hold my glue sticks and bottles! Knitting needle idea is also very neat and food for thought. Thank you for sharing 🥰

I've been watching for awhile, the dollar tree is in Netherlands? I was surprised, actually, you have really as good or better goods to haul there as we do here, well, in some areas. I love vintage hauls but I gotta quit I'm running out of room. I've been actually using junk mail only and packaging for my creations but I do have destashes I've bought from other crafters. I just don't have energy or time to thrift shop much anymore. But I'm getting old. Ha

Hi Margreth, have a look what Natasa from "Treasure Books" did with some lacey stuff like your "pinkish leavy" one: she put it behind a vintage photo on the cover of her latest journal. Looked great in my eyes. Probably an idea for you!? Hugs, Sabine

I went treasure hunting yesterday, too, and finally purchased something I'd been looking at for months...it's a Godey's Lady's Book combined with Ladies American Magazine from 1843. I don't think it is really from 1843 but rather a compendium of that year bound into a hard bound book. It is, however, truly old. It is water damaged but not in such a way to destroy it...lots of lovely old and yellowed papers with lithographs and 1 true water color in it. I'm torn about how to use it and may even remove all the pages to use the book cover as a journal. Would love to send you a few pics, but don't want to pester or fill your email with unwanted things. Your thumbnail for today's haul video, by the way, looked 'delicious'...the reds in it were gorgeous!
